So certainly not a NVA troll, could care less if NVA nor McLean does much of anything. Does make me curious why those two are the two moving? And to be clear talking about Loudoun and McLean not NVA nor Union. Honestly, what are the other big clubs in NoVa? Don't say Arlington, they are just a big (population) county that could have a donkey and elephant running things and they would still generate profit running a soccer club. Will win nothing but will always be in business. McLean and Loudoun were the standard bearers for 30years. ECNL hats have to worried.
Wait so only three ECNL clubs now VDA, Arlington and what's left of Union?

Loudoun? Dear God, man. They’ve done nothing for a decade.
You're crazy man. They've done a ton of things this past decade. Rampant nepotism. Running teams into the ground. Stealing people's money. Provide terrible coaching. Displaying horrific politics. Making huge salaries. I could go on and on, so let's not sell them short, ok?

2) Is GA then all ready oversaturated in the DMV market going from one badge to five in two years?
In general there is oversaturation of "elite" clubs because of the presence of both GA and ECNL.
MLSN is making it worse with MLSN2
So instead of ECNL-G and ECNL B there is now
ECNL-G and GA
MLSN and ECNL-B
ECNL-RL and MLSN2/GA2
For now local teams will compete on national level in GA but with the rapid expansion soon they won't be able to do so any longer.
And on the boys side not even the Samba Boyz will be relevant any longer nationally.
Agreed that this is diluting the talent pool further. Also note that of the 32 2011 girls invited to the regional US soccer talent ID center today only six are from GA clubs. None are from SYC or TSJ. The top ECNL girls from NVA and FVU should try to make it onto the remainingECNL clubs instead of go GA.
How could SYC not have a single 2009/2010/2011 training center invitation? The self proclaimed best girls club in virginia!
You do realize these "invites" are largely through connections. Big clubs are given an allocation and the club decides who they want to reward with an invite. Talent is only a small piece of it.
Finally, someone that knows the truth. There some 2011s that can't make it through a game without flopping ten times and crying on the field. And they can't score.

Maybe this is why there will be three clubs in Loudoun this time next year and all are GA, but only one will have MLSN. I'd say Loudoun is doing just fine.

So certainly not a NVA troll, could care less if NVA nor McLean does much of anything. Does make me curious why those two are the two moving? And to be clear talking about Loudoun and McLean not NVA nor Union. Honestly, what are the other big clubs in NoVa? Nothing? They only have the most players and revenue of any club in the area. You do realize that’s how clubs are measured. Like any business that relies on paying customers. Wins, college commits, social media vibes only matter as much as they help with marketing but at the end of the day it’s how many paying customers you have and by that measure Loudoun Soccer is king.
Surprisingly, Arlington is up there with them I'd argue.
Why is it surprising? Many posters have mentioned Arlington has teams 4-5 deep at almost every age group, especially the younger ages. Those players' parents are customers. Customers pay money.
