This is a message for Rep Gerry Connolly, and Sen Kaine, and Sen Warner.

Your leadership has brought this result. Thank you.

For all the times you refused to mandate e-verify to go after employers hiring illegal aliens.

For all the times you refused to enforce border regulations.

For all the times you supported expansion of h-1b by Biden.

For all the times you supported expansion of opt by Biden.

Thank you for expanding immigration which resulted in democrats losing and the federal work force getting cut in half

Thank you. This could not have happened without your votes to expand immigration.

lol like when Trump said no not do any immigration reform because I wanna run on it?

This. There was a bipartisan border deal that was ready to go -- no one got everything, but everyone got something -- until Trump told the Rs to reject it because he wanted the win on the border. This is all on the GQP.

We were planning on getting a new car this year, and now that’s not happening. We also stopped eating out at restaurants—cooking everything at home.

We had planned on paying contractors to renovate an old bathroom; we’re not going to take on that expense now. We have to cancel the kids’ music lessons etc. Not going on a spring break trip anywhere.

This is a message back to you. If you voted for Trump, you knew he was evil but it was OK. This on you.

MoCo has chosen not to diversify their sources of revenue.
They have a lot of sources of revenue (for example, they added the fuel energy tax not too long ago) but they haven't succeeded in growing the tax base.

MCPS is going to get hit hard by the loss of federal funding and lower tax dollars. It's going to get ugly. And I suspect a lot of people are going to leave the area so lower enrollment.
only 3.4% of MCPS budget comes from federal government.

A job is a job. A job with some sort of mission (like teaching) is something that is probably attractive to fed employees who have already accepted lower salaries for a mission.
How much of the MCPS budget comes from property taxes whose valuations are about to collapse? What about sales tax? When people lose their jobs en masse it will wreck the budget.
None of the MCPS budget comes directly from property taxes. The county sends MCPS a check. That's 64% of the budget.

Do you not understand where the money in that "check" comes from?
Property taxes, business and commercial taxes, and other assorted revenue. Do you?
I don't know if you are the PP who said, "None of the MCPS budget comes directly from property taxes" or just a sad troll who responds to posts directed to other people.

To get back to the point, yes, the PP who said the following about the MCPS budget was correct: "When people lose their jobs en masse it will wreck the budget."
