This is nuts like all of his corrupt ideas.
The theory is that most of these people aren't doing much and will move on once the cushy teleworking govt job scam is up.
The jig is up. The problem is that these people can't work in the private sector where there is accountability and you have to be in the office. I see all of the government teleworkers - they are at yoga in the middle of the day, playing tennis, hanging out with their kids on the playground. It's much easier to be fired in the private sector.
I know a few teleworkers, and not only do they actually work, but they still have their little kids in daycare to boot. They have to be available on the computer or by phone every minute of the day, and have to give notification when they leave for a break or lunch. I don't see how anyone could be at yoga during the day. They can't even grab a snack when they want.

Anonymous wrote:Wow, maybe MAGA is right? The news IS fake. It's so irresponsible the news is running away with headlines that this is a buyout. It is not a buyout.
The govt can only give a max of $25k for a buyout. So how can they give much more? Stinks.
No guarantees at all you won't be required to work until Sept. The FAQ says you would not be expected to work, but nowhere in the agreement does it explicitly state all of your work duties would be re-assigned. Stinks.
The max admin leave allowed is 10 days. So how can they do it out until Sept? Stinks.
How can OPM offer buyouts when only agencies have the authority to? Stinks.
No guarantee that you'll even stay employed until Sept. They could let you go before then. They have to deal with a budget in March. Why wouldn't they reduce the budget by immediately letting go anyone on deferred resignation? Stinks.
The entire thing sounds like a scam.

There is no guarantee you will be put on admin leave until you resign. The only perk you get is teleworking until your resignation date.
It is a trick.
Exactly right. There is no severance package. And once you resign they can terminate you at any time. Don’t be fooled people.
You get severance through the end of September this is very generous to those that just joined or are less than a few years in, those folks are likely younger and have more of a chance to find a job. People in the private sector would be thrilled to have this setup.
No you don't. The only benefit is continued telework. There is no severence payment.
No it says you don't work
Actually it says you don't work unless they decide to make you work.

How do you see them doing these things while you are in the office working?
