Slow day reading Twitter?

You are going to lose your RWNJ mind when Newsom runs against Trump in 2028 and wins!

You're wrong. We have been told that none of that (more working hydrants, full reservoirs, more fire trucks, more firemen) would have made a difference.

Shame on Trump and MAGA morons for politicizing this disaster. Every time we think you can't go lower, you do. You are truly disgusting people. Right now the focus should be on helping people. Accounting comes after. And no one will trust you guys to do anything in an honest way. You are incapable of honesty.

Apparently they didn’t hear that Bass is doing everything right, & the problems in LA are caused by Trump, MAGAs, climate change, capitalism, white supremacists, & the Easter Bunny.

The climate has been changing since most of North America was covered by an ice sheet 10000 years ago. And guess what, it’s going to keep changing, regardless of how many people switch to electric cars.

Human caused climate change is settled fact.

That is absurd. Like really, one of the dumbest posts.

That is like saying we know what gravity is and how it works. We know gravity exists- not really able to figure out how it works. If knew we would have anti-gravity propulsion and not lame airplanes and rockets.

Climate is changing- but we also know that our climate has gone through massive changes previously. So life on this planet has to adapt or go extinct.

Those massive changes occurred over thousands, 10s of thousands of years. You're not going to adapt in mere decades and that's what we are observing. Your gravity example - clearly you are the one who doesn't understand even that basic concept, we actually know how it works. Stop posting and embarrassing yourself.

Uh, climate changed started in the 1970s. That is 50 years of measurable carbon increases. Not like California woke up one day and was like - “hey our weather patterns are changing and winds varying”.
Not that hard to plan for it.

Actually, we noticed climate change first in the 1970s, but it started with the industrial revolution.

Actually, it started at end of the last ice age 10000 years ago. Those early humans were a terror on the environment.

Do you believe in flat earth theory too?
Do you believe the that North America was once covered by an ice sheet, but it is not now? How did that happen?

Santa Ana , Diablo and Sundown winds occur only at seasonal times. If they occurred all the time LA, Oakland and Santa Barbara wouldn’t exist.

They aren’t a year round occurrence. There are wind farms out near Livermore and Stockton. They are on flatter rolling hillsides not canyons. I also don’t think you can have a line of windmills in a canyon as it’s too steep.
Ok thanks.

I just checked, Ca gets its power from the following: Nat gas (45%), solar (24%), wind (7%), hydro (14%), nuclear (2.7), one coal plant in San Bernardino, and other.

They need to cut that nat gas percentage, if they are going to scream climate change every time this happens. They look like hypocrites.

No you’ve got the wrong stats. The US is 45 natural gas, CA is 36%.

Correct:
CA is 36% Natural Gas
17% Solar
https://calmatters.org/environment/climate-change/2024/08/california-clean-power-progress-grid/

And acknowledging climate change is an important step in creating an appropriate response. The US would be a lot better off if it followed California's lead in many ways in responding to climate change. In fance, many states are adopting CA's standards for vehicles.
