As a former R staffer said to me, "Gaetz (along with MTG and Boebert) don't really want to DO anything useful in politics. They just want to be performative." They have done nothing productive as legislators. And isn't this report detailing behavior from when he was 35 and he is now 38? I generally start believing that people have become "different people" when they actually HAVE a meaningful track record of being that decent person. smh

I don’t care about bad behavior when single. It is the bad behavior when married that bothers me. so feel like meh on this. I am old and know many guys who were horrible in the 20s/30s who have grown up in their 40s. Women too. I also do not believe he knowingly slept with someone under 18. There is a greater chance someone said they were over 18 and looked over 18. He is clearly being attacked for his politics and that also bothers me. Troubling that a report is leaked and so much leaking in so many things the past four years. Now when something is leaked I ignore.
