Horse hockey. The venue in Salem only has capacity for 7,000. Where did the other 43,000 sit?

The Salem Civic Center has a seating capacity of 6,820. Even allowing for standing room, there was probably not even 10K people there.

Trump's plane was still on the tarmac in N.C. an hour after the Salem rally should have started. He values his own time more than the time of his followers. Most of them are too dumb to read between the lines. He's been consistently late all week. The worst was three hours while he talked with Joe Rogan. Being late is so unprofessional.

rump’s social media company outsourced jobs to workers in Mexico even as the former president publicly railed against outsourcing on the campaign trail and threatened to levy heavy tariffs on businesses that send jobs south of the border.

Now this is some serious trolling of the worst kind. First Selma is not in Virginia. Second, if you’re were speaking of Trump’s speech at the Salem Virginia Civic Center, you’re going to have to convince people how you get 50,000 people in a space for the capacity of 6,800. Lies, lies, and more lies salem virginia civic center capacity

Is this true?

Trump in VIRGINIA the weekend before election day? Bad move.

Harris will win VA, so it's a waste of time.

Sure about that?

Not PP but yeah.

Just as sure yougkin wouldn't win either right?

No. NP. I was pretty sure Youngkin would win. But that was an odd outlier. It was more that McAwful lost the race than Youngkin won. McAwful was not well liked after his first term. And then he talked down the the “suburban mommies” who were upset about school closings with COVID. He has zero to say about school reopening, dealing with mental health and learning loss fallout from COVID,,etc. he just rolled his eyes and patted the mommies of NOVA on the head. We were furious.

Also, Youngkin passed himself off as stable, moderate dad, so he was kinda palatable to NOBA soccer moms. Trump can’t do that.

But Harris is weak candidate too, which is a reason why VA is in play.

VA isn’t in play. Youngkin was caught on tape saying he wanted to go after abortion, Trump will not get the women’s vote in Virginia in a post-Roe America.

We'll see what happens next week.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4967691-harris-widens-lead-on-trump-in-virginia/

Particularly note— abortion is the second topic ranked by voters. In Virginia.

"Likely voters had more faith in Harris on abortion, 57 percent to the Republican nominee’s 36 percent."

Would surmise that a good piece of that 57 percent includes Republican women

Youngkin caught lightning in a bottle or an inside straight by threading the needle on CRT/lockdowns in Fairfax County/COVID madness. Yeah, it can happen. But with abortion on the line and the Feds potentially incurring mass layoffs in Project 2025, I highly doubt it'll be competitive.

"abortion on the line" how's that? Its ay the state level. Trump can't do anything about abortion. I guess you don't know this? Trump has no affiliation with project 2025. So that's a lie. What else do you have?

Of course he can. If Congress passes a nationwide abortion ban, Trump will sign it. Just like if Congress codofoes Roe, Harris will sign it. And Trump is very affiliated with Project 2025. His BP pick wrote the forward.

You're clueless.

The insanity is really reaching peak levels. These people think they've got something, anything with Project 2025. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign says this about it:

LaCivita and Susie Wiles, both Trump campaign managers, said in a statement that the Trump team “has been very clear for over a year that Project 2025 had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the President in any way.”

They continued, “Reports of Project 2025’s demise would be greatly welcomed and should serve as notice to anyone or any group trying to misrepresent their influence with President Trump and his campaign — it will not end well for you.”

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/30/politics/project-2025-paul-dans/index.html

+1000 im really having a hard time seeing this level of pure insanity!!! I can't even wrap my head around it. Makes you never want to use the internet anymore!!

They're running on fumes and lies and the gig is up for most people now except a select blue bubble people.

The NYT published a deep dive last week on ties between Project 2025 authors and Trump world. They identified (with names and photos) 182 out of 307 authors, editors and contributors to Project 2025’s playbook who are tied to Mr. Trump. They brought the receipts. Read it (it's easy to read with a lot of graphics) and then come back and tell us there's no relationship between Trump and Co. and Project 2025. Remember: facts over feelings.

Here you go--I've gifted you the article. You're welcome.

You clearly did not read the article. It doesn't matter what LaCivita and Wiles say. The evidence speaks for itself. What did they mean by "it will not end well for you"? That sounds like the thug-like Mafia rhetoric Trump uses. Is it a threat?

No, sweetie. It means that no one associated with Project 2025 will be hired in a Trump administration.

Oh sorry, hun, Trump has already reneged on that promise. He's hiring Tom Homan, a Project 2025 contributor. Womp womp. 2025 is YOURS, Republicans. Own it.

He is daring people to vote for him. That’s why all this sh!t is coming out. That and getting off on chaos. People read the tea leaves.

Chaos will be wonderful!!

Why?

Not the poster who reported that silly comment. However, the chaos will cause an uncertainty in the both the bond and stock markets. The dollar will drop. Gold and crypto will rise. And it will give those with cash in hand to buy stocks cheap.

Yep, that's what's coming. If Trump wins, I'll be locking in my Biden gains ASAP. You can never time the market, but the Trump tariffs and general chaos will generate many stock market lows to buy back into.

Sure thing, Paul Krugman

Remember when he said if Trump won in ‘16 there would be a market crash and depression that we would never recover from?

Remember that? I sure do.

You sound just like that idiot.

Trump told us he's crashing the economy this time with tariffs. The only silver lining of his victory is that it's going to create an enormous buying opportunity on the downside.

Stock market did crash in March/April 2020. We did not get back to the pre-April 2020 levels until 2022. I was able to scoop up some good companies on the cheap. I wish I had more money in 2020 to buy more than what I purchased.

No, but I remember when he said this:

“Now comes the mother of all adverse effects — and what it brings with it is a regime that will be ignorant of economic policy and hostile to any effort to make it work,”

Krugman wrote.

“So we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight. I suppose we could get lucky somehow. But on economics, as on everything else, a terrible thing has just happened.”

Anyone with half a brain understands "with no end in sight" does not mean "literally for all eternity." And guess what happened, Trump was elected, the economy crashed, and the fallout was severe.

I'm not sure how much more accuracy you require from an economist but as far as that profession goes it seems spot on. The only idiot here is you.
