Last year around this time there was a X/Twitter person saying that he was confident that X number of clubs were switching from GA to ECNL. The number would change week to week. In the end they were kind of correct. But, I don't know if this nostradamus had inside info or was just playing the odds.
This year much more is at play now that MLS Next is involved. I doubt any "normal" people have inside track info because it would need to be coming from both the boys and girls sides.
Yup. And that account seems to be connected to the girls side only. So it makes sense that no one knows yet.
I feel like everyone is just waiting around for something to drop.
Guess Richmond Kickers will drop the first announcement and that will kick things off.
VDA will drop first announcement
What would VDA announce? Are all the clubs trying to use the same playbook of using their partner clubs to carry ECNL and use the combined org to carry MLS Next/GA?

That was pre alliance. I think the alliance makes it to where TSJ or VRSC are the likely candidates.
The boys program is too small at TSJ, it's more likely VRSC since they have an established boys program and GA on the girls side.
I know little to nothing about VRSC. Where do their boys play now? I see 2 boys teams in EDP/usys. Where are the rest? How is this MLSN worthy?
