I don't think it is for us to say how this family deals with the loss of their loved one. If it helps them to be involved in the trump campaign, they just can't do that in Arlington national cemetery for good reasons.

They were welcome to invite him. And have him be a part of the ceremony. What they did not have the authority to do is to subject other families in section 60 to be included in a political statement. In fact, another family of a fallen soldier buried that was pictured in Trump’s tik tok has expressed anger that their son/brother’s grave was desecrated in this manner. And this is why we have the law we have - that you don’t use this section of Arlington cemetery, where the most recently interred, who have close family members who are still processing their grief, to be subject to politics.

Inviting him doesn't grant him a waiver. And inviting him - of all people - is crass and disrespectful.
