This is a different thread, but just wanted to say I had a 14 week miscarriage and it was absolutely nothing like it would be to lose one of my beautiful healthy born children. And guess what? When my mom miscarried in 1966 and my grandmother miscarried in 1931, no one, including the many priests and nuns that they regularly had dining in their home and who were their family members and best friends, acted like they had lost a child. A fetus is not a child and no one acted like it until the Republican Party needed something to try to capture votes in the wake of Watergate.
