This is something they have worked for for 4 years. Do you really think they are happy because they can self sanction?
The writing is on the wall. They just gained some access to some very very good resources. There is also a reason you have been here for two days trying to downplay the news. Scared much?
The membership is the same as US Club soccer already has.
A seat at the table is just that, a seat at the same table that others have already had.
Point to ANY language that says partnership, league oversight or USNT pipeline exclusive to GA. Just one actual quote.
Point to anything NWSL has posted or stated that references a new home grown alliance or partnership with GA. Just one.

NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman
"The next thing we have to tackle is the Domestic player pipeline"
While talking to a US Soccer representative and with GA representatives in in the audience. (not ECNL)
Not a single word about youth leagues mentioned. It is generic lip service without a single concrete bullet point list mentioned.
To presume that what she said means GA is now the DA 2.0 is laughable. She never even mentioned “academies”. Domestic “pipeline” can means any number of things.
If you understand legalities, they’re not going to up front say they are building academies.
Read between the lines.
But you will believe rumors that teams are leaving with no fact or source… lol

“NWSL teams are privately owned with some owned by existing MLS teams”

"The next thing we have to tackle is the Domestic player pipeline"
"Who brings incredible perspective and is going to be working in partnership with you and many people in this room"
GA who just got promoted by US Soccer was in the room. ECNL was not.
US Club Soccer IS already a US Soccer member. US Club soccer is ECNL.
Slow your role there bud
Affiliation Summary:
The ECNL and US Club Soccer have a unique affiliation system.
Clubs within the ECNL must be members of US Club Soccer.
Affiliation ensures insurance coverage, player registration, and compliance with rules and regulations.
The affiliation benefits players by providing insurance coverage and ensuring eligibility for competitions.
Player registration helps maintain the integrity of the league.
Affiliation promotes fairness, consistency, and credibility in youth soccer.
Just read the actual quick press release.
All GA is excited about is“looking forward to continuing to enhance the voices of all key stakeholders in our female soccer ecosystem…”
Where does this say DA 2.0?
It is just a seat at the table, the same table US Club Soccer as well as the Special Olympics share.
Did you actually try to use the Special Olympics to push your ECNL agenda?
Wow, Sad :,-(
Not all, just saying that the Special Olympics received the exact same “membership” as did GA.
Make of that what you will in regards to what the relationship and seat at the table means.
I mean, try and actually read the press release and point to anything it says that confirms these GA fever dreams of a DA 2.0.
Are you trying to say that Special Olympics is one level above ECNL in Us Soccers perspective?
I’m saying, they have the same membership as GA and US Club Soccer/ECNL.
They have a voice and their own agenda at the same table. They don’t have anything more or less exclusive than GA or US Club Soccer. They are an organization who have concerns and needs they wish to share with the top soccer organization in the nation, just like GA and US Club Soccer.
