He is Trump's lap pit bull and if you watch him closely, he's foaming at the mouth. Take him to a vet a d give him those rabies shots!

Vance is obsequious but has a long way to go before he receives the Uriah Heep/Uncle Tom award with Bryon Donalds and Tim Scott in a dead heat for this title!

He’s anti-abortion and pro-confederates. I guess that appeals to Republicans in VA?

I don't think those were the pressing issues when he was elected. Not everything is about abortion.

Yes well he’s shown his true colors now and maybe YOU don’t care that 12 year olds are being forced to give birth and women with doomed pregnancies are forced to wait until they almost bleed out for treatment but those of us with a shred of humanity do.

I can’t figure out who’s more annoying, the “abortion is the only thing that matters” people or the “climate change is the only thing that matters” people. I say people but it’s quite possible that it’s just a bot programmed to turn every discussion into a flame war on the same topic.

We may be bores to you but not to women who believe they--not men or religious crazies-- have an absolute right to make decisions about their body. It's been a winning campaign issue for us in 2018, 2020, 2022 and will be again in 2024.

Tim Scott helps with Black men vote. I see him choosing Scott. No need for a woman. That gets no more votes. Trump needs the Black men vote to make him viable because he’s bleeding suburban women.

No. No, he will not. Have you ever met a Black person? ….or watched Tim Scott?

[NP; Black woman]

Love Tim Scott! But I think/ hope it will be desantis.

Oh and just FYI, Trump is not “bleeding suburban women.”

Oh sure. Suburban women have been turning away from the GOP in droves since 2016. Now their daughter's futures are on the line. I'm sure that will being in a lot of votes for Republicans.

Unlike a few white wine drinking suburban beltway moms who populate DCUM, mothers across the country do not automatically assume that their daughters will need multiple abortions.

Mothers across the country do KNOW that their daughters and DILs with wanted pregnancies can have medical complications requiring termination of the fetus to preserve their health and life.

That’s less than 2% of abortions in the United States.

And that’s enough to make “39% of suburban women cite abortion as a make-or-break issue - by far the most motivating issue for the group” - in a WSJ poll from a couple months ago. But keep on thinking it doesn’t matter.
https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/abortion-poll-trump-swing-state-voters-2024-election-3e12f57c

All that matters is how they would have voted beforehand, and what states they reside in. If those women were already Biden voters, it is accounted for in the polls, and if they are in a state like California, makes zero difference in the presidential race.

It is motivating turn out in every state including swing states. But they got Dobbs overturned which I guess was important to them. Or is it not? So many posts about how this in not an important issue. confusing.

In any case. What is done is done and now there will be consequences in elections.

It is amazing that the GOP made such tactical mistakes on these two issues of little importance to the GOP. They picked fights over issues they don't even care about and provided so much firepower to the Dems. Unforced errors.

Not PP but one day you'll realize that rolling your eyes at these words shows you have sociopathic tendencies.

You could say: "well, there are associations that help such women travel to get help in other states". Or, "you're greatly exaggerating the risk to women and girls - I'm sure hospitals won't let them die". Both of which would still be heinous, but at least they contain a seed of truth.

He won in an off-year with a weak opponent. He wouldn't win if he shared a ticket with Trump.
