You are SO off. I want society to evolve.

How many threads on DCUM do you read about women who are miserable but stay with their husband for financial security.

I believe healthy adults should be independent, and model that for children ( of both genders). Dads can be better parents and moms can learn to support themselves. Equality.

(Not to say one adult should not stay home when kids are little/there are lots of kids). But full grown adults entering the world with no way to support themselves is not a strong plan.

You want society to evolve... by going back into 20th century office buildings without flexibility? Get a dictionary, you don't know the meaning of evolve.

Sorry, confused WFH with SAH.

If we aren’t there to see their whiteness and maleness thrown into our face every day how will they feel superior to everyone else. If they lose their forum to talk sports and take long business lunches how will they show their worth.

This!

Because only white men follow sports.

Given the number of companies sending people back it is pretty obvious wfh doesn't work.

WFH should take a pay cut. If I have to pay gas, for a car, insurance, car maintenance, can't run errand while I "WFH" or take a nap then yes, WFH people should take a pay cut.

Go back to work!!! Mon & Fri are the worst days because they are home. Can’t wait until they go back full time.

It’s their house.

It’s my office.

You don’t have an office. You work in your employers home.

Sounds like you work from home and your nanny is miserable.

I hate not having a separation from my work life and my home life. But I agree it's weird to press that on others.

Thank you! It’s so refreshing to hear from the rational adults

If I have to go in, why would I NOT care about you WFH? It’s not fair!

Except how do they mentor and train the new white males?

You sound like a great boss! I hope you're saving lots of money on the lease and furniture to make up for you having to work at home against your preference.

+100 Also there are the super lonely people who's whole social life revolves going to work and going around to other people's offices and hanging around the kitchen telling long stories about ALL their cats and the crazy things their cats do all the time.

Hahaha I have a coworker like this but I think this coworker would actually much rather be WFH. Taking care of the cats.

+2

I’m pretty sure she just doesn’t leave the house. At all. Ever.
