^^ pp again, I’m on 2mg, which is in a shortage. Now I have to try to get 1mg and hope it’s effective.

People who can’t get Ozempic covered by insurance are buying 2mg pens, even though they use lower doses, so they can get more medication and spend less. I get it, but it sticks for people who actually need that dosage for the intended purpose: diabetes.

Type 2 diabetic here. I know you want to say there’s lots of other medications, but ketformin didn’t work for me. Neither did Januvia. My A1c went from 11.7 to 5.6 in 6 months on Ozempic. For what it’s worth, I’ve only lost 5 pounds, because I’m not overweight.

Couldn’t pick up my medication today, because despite people claiming there isn’t a shortage, there is. I’m really sad and scared about my a1c going back up without this medication.

I understand people on this thread don’t care about people like me, and that kind of sucks.

How about .25mg Wegovy? I've called a few pharmacies and none have it in stock. Any info for that one?

Well diabetics need the 2mg dose and now we can’t get it. You people are truly amazing. You don’t care at all, do you?

Nope. There are like 20 other medications you can take instead of ozempic. Spare us the fake victim hood.

Maybe those other drugs aren't as effective for some diabetics.

You do know that Ozempic was initially used as a drug for diabetes right?

Yep, I probably know more than you. I have been in 3 (three) clinical trials surrounding semaglutides.

Wow....Nice. Should I hope that you become overweight AND have diabetes AND aquire a host of medical issues that come along with being over weight so that you would understand? I could wish that on you, but I'm not an A$$hole. But wait, if you have type II diabetes, there is a strong chance you are overweight and you have just as unhealthy eating as you accuse these overweight people of having. Possible, right?

They aren’t. They just aren’t covering the cost. A doctor prescribing doesn’t mean insurance will cover something. I pay out of pocket.

Anonymous wrote:I tried to pick up my dose of 2mg and was first unable to get it because thanks to people like op wanting it for weight loss, I had to get a prior authorization. Finally got that approved and now I can’t get my 2mg dose in stock because it’s in a shortage. I hope all of you people taking diabetes medication away from diabetes end up with diabetes. Then you’ll know how this feels.

Your need for prior authorization has nothing to do with other people.

I kindly recommend you seek help for what seems like a very negative headspace you’re in right now and wish you all the best for a healthy body and mind.

Read that again. Weight loss patients aren’t taking your 2.0 dose.
