Social media has been an excellent place for near-instant updates from places where news is happening.
At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, it was the way Ukrainians were getting and sharing news.
On January 6, social media was getting us info from people inside the Capitol and the idiots in the crowd.

Yes, they were the ones fighting in Syria all this time while the actual Russian army wasn’t doing anything until they invaded Ukraine.
