+1 it’s all angels dancing on the head of a pin at this level
So Kenyon is the same level as Pomona? Yeah…right![]()
Yes.

Maybe not but Kenyon got really dinged in the new rankings because of diversity related metrics. Deserves a higher placement.
Outside of the Kenyon Review, which has nothing to do with undergrads, the school has very little going for it that would place it higher. It’s an okay school for okay kids.
It’s easier to get in than schools like Pomona but the quality of students is quite high and the teaching is fantastic. DC is there - the kids are impressive. Don’t understand point about Kenyon Review- school has no grad students.
Well, it’s a separate organization run by full-time staff. You’d know this if your dc goes there. Undergrads have nothing to do with it, but it’s always brought up like it matters.
Damn I wonder where those $45k checks are going every semester then! I also have a subscription and note a fair amount of student content. As for student non-involvement, just not true… https://forward.kenyon.edu/stories/story/the-gatekeepers/?t&utm_source=perplexity
So basically an over glorified book club. Ooh so prestigious!
What do you want out of a literary journal?
Anyway- the school is great - one of the best Lacs in the Midwest with a unique culture and intergenerational ties that don’t exist many other places - every kid who goes there loves it. Campus is gorgeous. Your opinion doesn’t matter.
You’re…joking, right? https://www.niche.com/colleges/kenyon-college/reviews/
So many kids dislike their time at Kenyon. This is borderline propagandistic hogwash. “Intergenerational ties” tf does that mean, and you haven’t even brought any evidence to show people even wanna go there.

And schools that fail to promote this type of environment will suffer in the marketplace. How many non-LGBTQ males who get 1500 on their SATs would choose Vassar over all their other options? Oberlin is way off the charts now, and Wesleyan has plunged as well. Haverford has declined, now tied with Richmond (which has a conservative reputation). Reed is nowhere to be found. W&L is thriving. Southern schools in general are thriving. Who wants to go to school with a bunch of angry single minded activists who can't even have a conversation but can only call you names?
Whoah you are so clearly in a suburban bubble. Vassar and oberlin are very popular with the boys in our Brooklyn crowd
That is exactly my point. They are ONLY popular with the Brooklyn crowd.
A quarter of Vassar comes from NY - so it's even a larger percentage of the domestic student population. It basically just draws from 5 states where wokeness prevails.
