Appears Euro Germantown http://www.eurogermantownmercedes.com is no longer involved with Grip http://www.gripinc.com No longer listed as a sponsor and no longer referenced for upcoming events. Suspect when Mercedes Financial Services has to come after two cars sold by the dealership because of default on the payments they may frown on involvement with the same person you are chasing to get the cars back. Looks like other sponsors are gone too. Cutting ties with people that are the focus of state and federal investigations is not a surprise.

This trial will be available online or does the court not offer that?…if not available on a daily basis how do we keep abreast of developments?

The trial for the first four felony cases of the Optimum saga was to be today. These cases were postponed a second time until 6/12 which is the date of a fifth case. Therefore 6/12 will be a trial for five of the current ten felony theft charges. At this time, we will get to hear Omar’s referenced reason that will explain it all. He has said that this is a conversation he really wishes he could have but is unfortunately not able to share on the advice of counsel. Headscratcher: you have a something that explains it all, but you invoke the 5th to not self-incriminate? Meanwhile we all can speculate on this magical person, place or thing that was the actual cause of the failed projects resulting in 38 customer complaints and 10 current felony theft charges.

Why the postponement?
Has Omar/Amr been officially charged?…is he free on bail?

First four felony theft cases against Omar Amr Elrahimy have been postponed a second time. They are now on the same date as the sixth felony theft case. Thus now, five of the ten felony theft cases against Omar Elrahimy will occur on June 12th at the Silver Spring District Court 02. There is a hearing in Howard County tomorrow. The Upper Marlboro District Court case and the three Rockville District Court cases do not have trial dates set yet. Someone's summer is booking up... Did I say booking? Pun intended....

Let's do this right: Steve Ross Swetlow of GRIP supercar events and yeah he got thrown under the bus as well as Bobbie Smith when Amr Elrahimy said she handled the billing and financial side of Optimum even though Amr had to sign off on everything. Either Amr is an idiot or his lawyer was.

I am pretty sure Go Pro was on the target list before his comments in the 341. Go Pro was probably the most used subcontractor yet was not a creditor? Thus they were not owe anything. All of the other subs should be questioning that. I am sure the authorities are looking at who was NOT a creditor and why is it they were paid when so many others were not. The big toss under the bus was when Omar through his buddy Steve Ross (or whatever his name is) out as a 50% owner of Grip. He gave the trustee and authorities a reason to go after Grip to recover funds that were routed or used there. Did not make much sense to go after Grip when it was just Omar, but now there is a whole new source of funds that can be gone after in Steve's bank accounts. Steve can thank his buddy for that one and if Steve claims this is not the case then he is basically saying Omar we not telling the truth while being under oath. ouch

Yeah and whats hilarious is Sameh elrahimy of GoPro construction might not realize how badly Amr Elrahimy of GRIP supercar events and Optimum Construction threw him under the bus during the 341 meeting. Without much of a prompt Amr said he was being paid by his brother for consultation work and how he was getting money from Sameh to cover costs but if he had said nothing his brother would not be on the radar like he is now. Pretty sure if Amr can he will throw his family and former employees under the bus.

So the guy with at least 10 felony charges pending dosing him is allowed to work in the same business?…and his brother would want Omar to represent him.
I guess innocent til…and blood is thicker…but wow!

Have not seen anyone else being charged. However, now with 10 Felony Theft charges against Omar Elrahimy you have to wonder if the state is going to be satisfied with just convicting Omar and sending him to prison. You can't do this to so many people over the course of years without someone knowing what you are doing. One has to wonder if the state will file conspiracy charges against anyone that knowingly supported the now 10 felony theft cases.

Where did you find this info re the repossession?

Documents are filed in the bankruptcy. See previous answers on how to access via a pacer account. Mercedes Financial filed motions asking for courts permission to reclaim the property (Two cars). The trustee has filed a motion asking for 120 days to determine their value and sell the vehicles. The trustee's job is recover funds for the creditors and thus if there is value in the cars the trustee will sell them. Either way, the cars will be reclaimed by Mercedes or sold by the trustee soon.
