Any huge white SUVs. Trashy.

Tell us you don’t understand science without telling us.

If you understood science you’d know they’re totally unnecessary and very cringey.
I know two different owners of early 2000’s Audi TT’s whose cars left the roadway at higher speeds because they became airborne due to lack of downforce on the back of the car. The low pressure zone immediately above the rear of the car created enough lift to suck the rear end of the car right off the pavement. The same way an airplane wing generates lift. The shape of the car does the same thing.
Are they necessary on all cars? No. They’re probably not even critically necessary on most of the cars that have them, as long as speeds are kept below 80ish mph and/or cornering forces are kept at less than .5g for speeds greater than 25-30 mph. Beyond that threshold, the pounds of downforce generated by a spoiler can help the rear tires stay planted and in contact with the road when they otherwise may have lifted or unloaded the suspension.
I realize you don’t understand any of the dynamics of performance driving, so it’s hard to dumb it down enough for you to get it, but aerodynamics are a real thing, and you’ll simply have to take the word of someone smarter than you.

Like some guy who has a desk job and does not haul anything ever who drives a big truck. Or a mom with one toddler driving a big SUV to and from preschool every day. It just looks silly to me. It also sucks -- these big vehicles make driving worse for everyone and are generally a lot more dangerous to other people than smaller cars. It feels like ego and selfishness. I don't judge some family of 5 with a minivan because that makes sense but I don't understand why some people have decided that EVERYONE needs some huge vehicle. Remember when most people drove mid-size sedans.
It’s not your business.

Really? But it’s DCUM. I thought we all drove SUVs polished by our butlers?
