It's wasteful. Also, I think maybe it's worthwhile to look inward and ask why looking at plastic trash shipped from China in people's yards brings you joy. It's probably the same reason playing dumb games on your phone or endlessly scrolling TikTok "brings joy." The phrase "opiate of the masses" comes to mind. Maybe if we gave up all this mind-numbing entertainment, we'd wake up and make some better choices for our country, society, and children's future.
Like what if there wasn't any plastic garbage in your yard but college was affordable and everyone had access to healthcare? Would that bring you you more or less joy than the current situation?
