This is to show how shameless these lying and hateful Republucans truly are. Tell me a single thing inappropriate about that scene above from our local MoCo drag story hour. Comparing to hooters girls is more than ignorant it is hateful propaganda.
Can we just be honest for a minute and just admit that the conservatives don't think that men should be allowed to wear dresses? That's the real issue they have with drag queens. The reason they don't like trans women is because they're afraid that they're going to be attracted to someone that has or at one point had a penis because of how much estrogen changes the body.

Of course it hurt them. Instead of attracting voters by representing their views on protecting reproductive rights and protecting democracy from coup attempts, they wasted their time carrying on about these issues of little consequence to voters. Are you not paying attention to where the votes materialized this cycle?
If you think the outcome was a backlash against anti-trans etc stuff then you are misreading the results. The two main issues Republicans got backlash against were abortion and 2020 election denialism. The Dems need to learn from this as well. Stop giving the social issues oxygen and learn to respond in a way that attracts the middle.
I don't think the voters gave a rat's ass about the trans stuff and all that time and energy and money invested by republicans on that issue cost them. they could hav used that time and energy and money to actually try to attract some votes.
This entire “war on schools” agenda by the rightwing - CRT, “grooming,” “gender ideology,” etc - was created to deflect from mass shootings at schools.
That’s it.
Think about who benefits from over-the-top Strawman scenarios that are not happening at schools? And also might make elements of the public feel less sympathetic toward students and educators? If you attack schools on all these issues, you’re no longer talking about Uvalde. And, in fact, maybe those darn teachers had it comin’

Exposing young grade school aged kids to scantily dressed people of any gender on the public dime is okay with you? I bet at least 80% of the country is not okay with this.
Democrats are right to hammer Trump and decry post Roe overreach and lunacy. But please don’t think advocating for Drag Queen Story Hours is a ticket to political success.
Lol “scantily dressed” should young children be banned from beaches? Way more scantily dressed people there. Also Hooters. Will you support a bill outlawing kids under 18 at Hooters?
Are you okay with the parks dept hosting story hour from Hooters girls?

Oh, yes you say?
Then we will continue to whine while more and more social changes occur in a leftwards direction.
Accepting gay and trans people and allowing them to live their lives is basic human decency.
Like many if not most people I don't have issues with letting trans people live the gender they prefer, but I do have real issues with the sudden revisionist of biology to pretend that people can be born the wrong gender, or that gender is on a spectrum and that there are more than two genders, and renaming pregnant mothers pregnant people. I don't think trans people have an automatic right to access spaces normally preserved for the opposite gender.
Wokeism has real problems because so much of it is not grounded in common reality but abstract ideas and theories. And the big push for DEI is counterproductive and quite often harmful, such as removing advanced classes in schools and imposing a one size fits all policy on a diverse population with diverse capabilities.
Ultimately, these are all policies, not natural rights. As such they will always be heavily political. Telling people to shut up and go away is denying people their political voice. Everyone has the right to voice concerns, on both sides. But it also doesn't mean everyone can get what they want.
My wish for Republicans like you is that someday you wake up and understand you talk like a windup toy, spitting out the GOP policies and beliefs du jour; basically speaking in a garbled series of partisan non sequiturs.
How is that different from Democrats? "Kevin McCarthy is endangering national security by providing a blueprint of all the cameras in the Capitol.'

+1 - the Libertarian and conservative "keep the government off our backs" wing of the GOP should be all for letting people live their lives. However, the GOP has been hijacked by the MAGAs and Evangelicals and brains poisoned by Fox "News" so here we are.
When it comes to children, someone needs to advocate for them.
Democrats sure as hell aren't.
Democrats are targeting gifted and talented programs, in a misguided effort to “close the achievement gap from the top down.”
In NYC, they literally ended the whole program.
In FFX schools, they are ending the AAP program, and implementing equity “E3 math” instead.
In Virginia, they tried to end all advanced math in HS through the VMPI scheme (which was put on hold by Youngkin).
Meanwhile, they lied about CRT-like, and CRT being taught in many Virginia schools. The discredited 1619 Project is one notorious example.
Are you ignorant or just a liar? This isn't true.
NYC GT program https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/gifted-talented
FFX AAP program https://www.fcps.edu/academics/academic-overview/advanced-academic-programs
OMG you are such a liar!

And you lack basic reading comprehension skills.
E3 Math has been piloted in numerous FFX schools. Do you even have a clue what “pilot program” means?
Sorry, but you are just too stupid and dishonest to bother with.

Do you understand that the number of school shooting, while tragic, is actually very low? Do you realize how many children are being killed OUT of school? You are making a strawman out of school shootings.
