The Rose Maker (French: La fine fleur) is a French comedy film, directed by Pierre Pinaud and released in 2020. The film stars Catherine Frot as Eve Vernet, a formerly successful rose grower on the verge of bankruptcy, who hires three workers with no horticultural skills and must train them to help save her business.

With sub titles not dubbing … beautiful, well acted, touching, funny, interesting movie - of course, hardly anyone here watched it ….

Reminds me of Saving Grace where Brenda Blethyn plays a widow who turns to growing plants to get out of financial trouble.

I also love The Way, Way Back. Mine to add are: Fallen with Denzel Washington and John Goodman, Kissing Jessica Stein, Beautiful Girls and Wish I Was Here (and pretty much every other Zach Braff written and acted movie).

This is NOT an "underrated movie no one saw." It's literally one of the top 25 comedies of all time on pretty much any list.

Same with School Daze (spike Lee movie) but another big one when I was college. Me and my friends knew all the songs and would act along to all the singing parts. We watched it so many times I can still recite many of the scenes.

How High (the original not that dumb part 2 they did). Method Man and Redman as stoner college students. Hilarious.

That movie was big when I was in high school! See also: Strange Brew and Kentucky Fried Movie

It came out in 1997 and received critical acclaim but I don't think many people saw it. If it came out today, it would have been an Oscar contender.

This movie is amazing. I remember having to search for a theater that was showing it because it wasn’t released nationwide.
I love this movie.

Me, too! It starts out like rom-com but the relationship with his dad is what I love.

The Way, Way Back was my choice, also. I love Sam Rockwell.

I am so attracted to that man! And I love his character in the Way, Way Back

Give Moon a watch if you like Sam Rockwell.
