No, you, the reporter and the hack sources are. That is the end of the story.

I really can't believe these morons are *still* insisting a fake story is true. Actually, I don't know why I'm surprised. If it furthers their political narrative, that's what they always do.

It’s really sad how uninterested in the truth most people are
No it’s sad how you are missing the point. I’m not arguing whether he was asked or not. We are in a pandemic. He’s selfish like most conservative men.
Just stop. Sotomayor wasn't even in the room. Even the CDC has said that cloth masks don't work to stop the spread. Other Justices took their masks off periodically.
This is a non-story. And, I am thinking you know very few conservative men, given your sweeping comment.

Anonymous wrote:She's diabetic, as are my parents yet for decades I've watched my diet, exercised and took care of myself, just like Goursch. We are the same age and neither of us have diabetes. Why should he wear a mask when it isn't mandatory and one of his colleagues didn't take care of herself? Meanwhile I spent Sunday evening in the warmth of my childhood home with my parents without masks.

Anonymous wrote:I suspect Totenberg's sources are Sotomayor and/or her clerks. They were foolish enough to think the criticism Gorsuch would receive might outweigh the need for courtesy and consideration on the court. Their downfall was weaving Roberts into the story. The court values collegiality and privacy and when the shit hit the fan, she may have been forced to renounce her story. That's why NPR is standing by their "sources."
Anonymous wrote:Obviously Gorsuch is morally bankrupt. He took an illegitimate appointment.
Anonymous wrote:So Roberts didn't ask Gorsuch to wear a mask?
Roberts doesn't care if anyone wears a mask? Doesn't care about the health and wellbeing of the Justices he presides over?
Is Roberts the d1ck then?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The bottom line is, did Gorsuch mask up after Roberts asked him to? If the answer is anything other than "yes" then Gorsuch is a d!ck.
The bottom line is ..... did this story even happen?
The answer is no, it didn't. As evidenced by the statements of 3 of the Justices.
And, an even broader question..... according to Totenberg's piece, there is dysfunction on SCOTUS. Given that her account of this part of her story has been debunked, can we believe the rest of the story?
I think not. I am betting things go much more smoothly with SCOTUS than Totenberg would like people to believe.
If you read this and look at the decisions (up until July, 2021), seems they agree more than they disagree.

The court’s decisions are not the full record of its functioning. There are thousands of cases they don’t take, bad appeals decisions they let stand because they know they can’t touch them with a 10-foot pole. And again, when you know your credibility as an institution is nearly shot and your credibility is all you have, you might be inclined to take a public face that is a complete charade and fraud.
