People are sick and tired of CA's insane politics, nosebleed taxes, overregulation, COL, and having to dodge human fecal bombs on their way to work.
Money is fleeing Silicon Valley and CA. CA is a has been. While Californians continue to suck down their hubris like it is still 2005, they will wake up one day with their legs swept out from underneath them when they realize no more VC money is flowing into the state to found more tech unicorns.
What does this have to do with policing?

The real drug use used to be in the tenderloin and haight.
Now we have needles all over the place it is dangerous for dogs to walk. I use to kick the homeless off our front stoop and they would relocate; now they just get up, let me get in to my apartment and camp back down on the stoop. The police do nothing so no point in calling anyone about.
The da is terrible, even by San Francisco standards. The recall will happen this spring.
I would not tell anyone that the city is a good place to raise a family, but it is a beautiful city that will bounce back; just without many kids in it, or at least there should not be many families in the city proper.
I'm extremely suspicious of the DA. His parents were literal terrorists who went to prison and then he was raised by Bill Ayers. The he went to Venezuela and worked as Hugo Chávez interpreter. It's like he's intentionally sowing chaos, and when you look at his background it explains what his motivation may be.
That would actually explain quite a lot.

Many are jealous of the SF brain trust. No, we don’t need the Jesus freak peanut gallery. We’re doing just fine, move along

I’m a Californian who used to live there and now live elsewhere in California, and SF is definitely a cesspool, no doubt about it.

The overwhelming portion of those cities, however, are variable crap holes filled with murder, crime, drugs and human trafficking.. you can't even walk around at night in Sao Paolo. Real estate prices don't mean anything. Even a crap hole like SF can have high real estate prices even though they're pretty much a 10th century fedual system with open sewer pits and needles everywhere. Big whoop about real estate prices. SF is still a miserable trash hole.
Completely agree. It's really too bad - I spent some time in SF in the early 90s and loved it. No way would I revisit now - especially with my family. And that goes for Seattle and Portland too. Utter cesspools.
- thanks 100% to democrats and democrat policies.

This argument is weak. Yes, there are expensive houses in places like Sao Paolo, but as you conveniently omit, there are many areas in Sao Paolo where housing is much cheaper. Everywhere in SF is expensive. There are no cheap places. because the city is beautiful, the economy is dynamic, and people with money want to live there.
City services can't clean the streets.
