I think it's a sun damage thing. I have seen them as young as 27-30 for the Sun Goddesses.

It is a sun damage. I look my age (48) but I don't have those creases because I've always been religious about sunscreen and avoiding the sun. My dermatologist often comments on it.

I think it’s genetic. I am olive complected and baked in the sun in the 80s. I have the exact same chest creases and facial wrinkle patterns as my lily white mother who is allergic to the sun.

I’m the pp who asked and I think you’re right. I’ve seen women with them who aren’t particularly sun damaged or overweight but they’re just there. Some women don’t have them though.

I just turned 60. Until this year, I looked about ten years younger than my age. This year, I had a medical incident where I almost died. I aged a decade in one year, so now I look my age.

I’m 30 but people at work think I’m closer to 40. There’s just something hardened and sad about my face apparently. People describe it as “oh you act mature!” But it’s likely my grays and my sunken eyes.

I’m authentic. I won’t say it unless I mean it. Some people truly look younger

I'm a 58 year old guy who looks about 58. I used to be pleased that I looked younger than my age but the hard years of teenage mental illness and parents in failing health took care of that. My bloodwork has followed the same trend. Oh well, could be worse.

Yes I have a 50yo Indian friend who looks 35 at most. She doesn't have kids, which helps a ton. Lol. I'm Italian/Spanish and my mom claims greasy olive skin ages better.

I'm 43 and probably look it. The pandemic - specifically, having elementary age kids during the pandemic coupled with a demanding, high stress job - has really taken a toll on me. I strongly suspect I'm also in perimenopause so that's not helping. Pre-Covid, I looked 2-3 years younger, maybe 36 at the youngest. Now, my face just looks worn and my ever-thinning hair is now really gray and the texture has changed. I used to be able to cover the few grays I had with partial highlights but now I need to color my entire head.

I generally accept aging but it can be hard to look in the mirror and wonder what the hell happened!

I used to look pretty young for my age, but at 52, I look 52. I'm a healthy, vibrant 52, but still I'm 52. Somebody might guess 48, but that's about it.

* That's for white women. I'm less sure when you see that crepey skin and deep wrinkles on WOC but they have a clear melanin advantage so probably a lot later.
