You are not a good driver. And you have never told a trailer before.
A trailer needs to stay in the middle lane or the 2nd from the far right lane. That is because the far right lane is often for cars merging or exiting, and a trailer is not agile enough to quickly accelerate or decelerate.
I tow trailers for a living smart a$$. If someone doesn’t know how to merge, they shouldn’t be driving. If someone is behind me while I’m towing and they want to pass me, go the F around me. I’m not risking my load for A holes like you or anyone else.
Interesting. So you tow trailers for work, and in your professional opinion you think all trailers should drive in the far right lane. Please explain more.
Experience, not opinion.
Ok gotcha. You are experienced. But what's the reasoning for this? Genuinely curious
Not the PP, but I think it is the job of the person merging on to the highway to enter the lane safely. This means speeding up or slowing down to do so. Vehicles in the right lane do not need to move left to let you in.

1. Left exit in a few miles, give a left turn signal to indicate you are there for the left exit
2. Left lane ended and merged with your lane, give a right turn signal to indicate you would like to move over to the right lane when you feel you can do this safely
3. Traffic jam
4. You have been deputized by state police to be a traffic monitor, be prepared to show official authorization
You don’t need to be in the left lane for miles for a left exit. That’s nuts.
Yes, you do if traffic is heavy and you are a cautious/timid driver

Exactly. When an obnoxious jackass with blindingly bright lights starts tailgating that is basically an invitation to completely ignore the loser.
Take picture of their license plate and report to police. Road rage is getting out of hand.
Or just move over and let them pass. I drive fast and often in the left lane, but I move over if a car is close to me. Sometimes they’ll move over too because they’re following my lead but other times they speed up and pass. I don’t understand the hall monitor types who want someone tailgating them.

If I'm in the left lane with my cruise control set at 15 miles over the speed limit, you can just wait behind me because you are clearly a menace to society.
You aren’t the lane police, d1ckwad.
Yes I am, especially because of ragey small-penis men like you.
I don’t have a d1ck, moron. Learn how to fcking drive.
You can’t just make up your own rules. Move to the right!
You go mind your suspended license from all the crazy speeding. I can go on cruise control in the left lane and you can just shove it!
I don’t crazy speed, but you still are a d1ckwad.
Move the F over.
Nope. I don't want to get stuck behind the truck going 50. I'll be going 70 in the left lane, thank you.
You seem to have anger management issues.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Although I got tailgated yesterday on the Beltway going 10 over... in the right lane, with plenty of space to the left. Tailgaters are just nuts.
Even if someone is parking in the left lane, you're an idiot if you don't leave following distance it's a basic safety measure.
This thread isn’t about tailgaters. It’s about people who don’t follow the universal rules of the road. It’s inconsiderate and dangerous.
Again, if people in the left lane are already going at or above the speed limit, why are you still angry?

It’s still the faster lane, just not a passing lane.
Seriously.
Are you people really trying to tell us that you believe the left lane in this photo should be empty except for drivers who are "only' passing the car in front of them?
Literally no one said that. Are you having trouble following?
For the other 20 hours in the day when the beltway looks like this, please don’t be a d1ck and simply keep right & pass left:

It’s really not that hard. Give it a try.
Only if you first don't break the law by speeding and reckless driving.
Ok.
No speeding.
No reckless driving.
No driving in the left lane unless passing.
We good?
I'm already going the speed limit. Unless you are breaking the law, it is physically impossible to pass me.
Exactly. No need for you to ever get in the left lane.
No there are still trucks going 55 in the right lane, so obviously i want to pass them in the left lane. But you should never be tailgating me because i'm already going the speed limit.![]()
I don’t tailgate so that never an issue.
The speed limit is 55. The trucks are going 55. And you are behind the trucks in the right lane.
So if you pretend-play that everyone is in the right lane, what are you still screaming about? Btw, you should not be driving if you're hallucinating like this.
Just saying that since you are always driving the speed limit there will never be a need for you to be in the left lane. If you do in some rare case, it would be extremely short duration.
Right?
You're both an idiot and a troll. As I mentioned above, I'll be in the left lane passing slower trucks. You just worry about not crashing into me.
Feel free to keep raging and ranting, but i'm signing off. Bye d!ckwad!
I'm not raging at all.
So what happens after you are done passing those trucks? You move back over, right?
Or do you only follow some laws?
