Bullis? Why mention them? They aren’t and have never been even close to a top team. Were in the ISL lower division only 2-3 seasons ago. They were beat soundly by several teams in indoor and with their D1 committs playing. Bullis is not part of the conversation of top teams.

The SR v. visi game was quite close yesterday too, so it could be interesting spring.


Visi played well. Immediately before the game, SR beat Saints 13-8 so likely a bit tired. Visi has a good first 8-9 girls. Their challenge will be full field and playing against teams with more depth.

SJC1 had a crew of 8th graders playing with them most games for scouting purposes. Seniors also split time between two indoor teams. SJC1 had a lot of starters out due to injuries, competing sports, recruiting camps and commitment camps. Still came within 1 of BI and 2 of PVI. They’ll have a good team if they can stay healthy.

They certainly do have a couple talented D1 commits. As do most other teams in the division - each of the teams has about 2 - 6 “top - 20 level” commits/future commits. Looking at the final standings, it pretty much corresponds with the depth of the teams’ rosters. Week to week, teams were impacted by Covid/camps/double headers, but the season standings finished up about as predicted.

GC is playing at Goals with the Baltimore-area teams.

I believe SW was very $$$. Maybe she had an additional position as well? Doubt Visi willing to pay that much. Maret has no talent and no real program to speak of. Bottom of ISL A most years. Last coach tried but got no traction. SW may be able to get some. If she can’t, no one can. Maret is very small though and tends to be basketball oriented - only 5 players needed. Guessing it is just not big enough to put together a successful lax team.
