Also, remember that human nature is such that when we will return to normal, we all will complain about how wonderful and unhurried our lives became during the pandemic.
I do not miss getting up early in the morning during the week to the jarring alarm clock
I do not miss seeing my kids go to school when it was cold and dark in the winter
I do not miss the rush hour traffic
I do not miss how sleep deprived my entire family was
I love having my family at home
I love that we all are interacting more
I love that I can hug them throughout the day
I love that they all want to help me when I am doing chores.
I love hearing my kids share more and more with me about their lives
Life has become simplified
We are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes
We are still in touch with friends, coworkers, classmates, family via Zoom etc.
I love not spending so much time and effort in grooming, make up and hair
I love that the weekends is not one endless circuit of engagements and chores.
I love working in my garden again.

I do think though next school year has a better chance at being good old fashioned in the school building kind of school.

Perhaps it was the start of remote learning for my kids that the reality has set in. I’ve been down this week, any positive uplifting news that we could be heading in the right direction?
I feel like you took the words right out of my mouth. These are my feelings exactly
Feels endless... but then I see this thread and I'm filled with hope. So I am very thankful to all the contributors!
Me too. Remote learning has me really down, and I’m a fortunate parent who has older kids and I don’t have to help them much at all, but it’s just so disappointing to me. So I really appreciate the positivity in this thread!
Likewise. I'm hearing from a number of people that returning to distance learning has been hard on the entire family. It has made it all feel more real. This positive news is helpful in the face of that.
