This is the OP who wrote about Alexandra and Nicholas upthread (the couple who met at Big Hunt). I didn't write the response to this post above-- though it was great. I used to contribute to this thread years ago and was told that I was accurate. There was more than one of us. I remember there was one particularly talented person. I hope she is still around-- the Dinah poster-- are you one of the original OPs?
As for my story, I prefer not to. Especially, given some mean-spirited posts from bottom-feeders.

Fascinating! You got Dinah completely - yes, much younger, does singing and dancing, we let her get away with murder, and my mom wasn’t too keen on her name, but she hated the alternative even more. Isaac is really good at math, and Sarah was the most challenging of the three when she was little, and she is a bit more interested in make up that I’d like to. Wrong sport for Sarah, and she is a mediocre swimmer, although loves the pool and water related activities. Pretty much on the spot about our marriage.
Where you went totally wrong - neither is AA, he is as far removed from IT as you can imagine (an artist, although he does handle all our home IT needs and is very good with all things digital), I’ve always worked full time and am as far removed from being a therapist as you can imagine (applied math/risk management).
Please, please, please don’t ever leave this forum, you are a treasure!

Aww this is so true! I watched the notebook with my grandmom. She was very frail at the time. We did not know if she would recover. I remember we cried together. I did not remember Noah being in there. This is so sweet to hear. I wanted to name my son something that connects him to his great grandma. Thanks so much for sharing this with me.

Rainer, not really your favorite name. But, you got to choose Poppy, so there's that. You and DH met in Paris. You were studying abroad in London (art history). He was studying in Frankfurt (general program, he wanted to connect with his german heritage). You met in a nightclub and ended up talking because you were each the most sober person in your friend group. You thought he was a little uptight, he thought you were a little flighty, and you both still think so, but somehow it works! You teach art history at Marymount. He's an engineer working for an NGO. Rainer is 8 and is serious and focused, likes building things, but is also becoming a strong soccer player. Poppy is 4 and is like a little fairy flitting around. You love them both terribly, but it is so sweet to have a daughter.
