What is up with people here talking condescendingly to parents with direct experience with a situation as if they don’t know anything? Parents have directly told you what they have seen with their own two eyes, yet some of you (or maybe it’s just one of you) seems to think that you know better and the parent must be wrong. To be fair it appears to be ONE parent saying moves happen and everyone else saying the opposite. As to the poster you are responding to I have no idea what that drivel was.

again not a thing in younger age groups. Teams are lumped together and then they recruit from rec to fill rosters. The earlier kids signed up will generally work out with top coach.. and Kids rotate around. Its not till 9v9 when the teams really form. The appearance of a team color is to make mommy and daddy feel good.

You have fully made up this little narrative. No longer in 7v7 but this does not match up AT ALL with what happened when our child was that age. I suspect this is what you are telling yourself so you feel better that your kid was on a lower team and never got moved up. It’s totally because you signed up later. Sure buddy…

In 9v9 you are assigned a team.. they never move kids down mid season who are assigned specific teams. It just doesnt happen. And you are claiming it happened to multiple kids.. so we all know you are lying. Valor doesn’t operate that way.

The teams do coalesce during the season which gives an appearance of a team assignment. But the coaches really dont care. Its about starting the future revenue train. 9v9 if you are assigned a team they NEVER move you down midseason

At least one coach in an age group older than 7v7 has stated more than once that multiple players will be moved around for spring. If it doesn’t happen I will assume leadership has blocked it because the coach has very clearly stated their desire to make changes.

valor i believe has a blanket permit to have fields for certain windows. If you are on them its more in there rights to kick you off.

Here's what I suggest: check out some other clubs nearby to really see how your kid stacks up with higher division coaches who run top teams (Divisions 1-3 in NCSL/NCSL-R or EDP) depending on age group/number of divisions in that given year.

-Playing devil's advocate and see what those clubs say about your kid's skills is important. If they think your child is performing at a high level, you'll have a better idea of where they fit in. Then, think about whether you're ready to put more time and money (resources) into a institution that won't support that growth.

-This will take some homework on your part, reaching out and engaging with the other club technical development trainers/directors.

-Below is the link where you can find where your team currently stacks up. Are they really being competitive or are they playing weaker teams/divisions? Maybe they got a win because you had guest players from your higher club division team.

- This will mean doing some homework on your part, like reaching out and talking to the trainers or directors at other clubs.

- Either your team is in a tournament that’s way too tough for them, or they need a lot of improvement. I’ve seen that happen a lot at Valor just to win games or tournaments. Misplacement in brackets. Just saying. Have fun and good luck.

this past fall, multiple Valor coaches were using a turf field at Ellanor Lawrence Park on Fridays for private lessons. They kicked pick up players off one day saying it was for "Valor practice" but only 1-2 kids per coach showed up. It was clearly not team practices. I am surprised Valor gives turf field space to coaches for this. Seems unethical when you are telling the County the field will be used for practices not private entrepenuriship.

AC and GL are U12G coaches. I believe GL is currently completing his B License which means he already has his C and D licenses as those are pre-requisites. AC looks like he has a a couple grass roots licenses (9v9 and 11v11) which seems pretty reasonable for a second team coach. And to be honest, my kids have had and seen plenty of coaches (at Valor and beyond) with D,C, and B licenses who are not very good.

grassroots licenses? Those are the ones rec coaches get for free.
