Coppermine 2028 is currently in the top bracket in all the big tournaments and there is no reason to think this will change for high school so all the coaches will be there. Question remains if tournaments continue to put SW teams in the top bracket if they are ranked in the #18-30 spots and do not deserve to be there. That is when the real shift will happen.
This is exactly what the Pride 23 team thought. They were in all the big tournaments too and assumed their performance would win the day when it came time for recruiting. It didn’t happen that way.

Anonymous wrote:All of the Coppermine teams 2028 and younger are better than SW. Most are much better. The 2028 isn't a one-off. Lax is an absurdely small world. College coaches all know Coppermine is better post-2027, and the recruiting will match. Coppermine has also built a stable of great coaches that match or are better than SW. The SW owners are obviously well respected and still have college coaches' ears, but everyone knows Coppermine has the better players at this point.

They are definitely banking everything on their 2028's to change that. Coppermine is attempting to take over the players that typically go to Skywalkers but it is hard to overcome SW recruiting history. The 2027 SW team once again had a bunch of new girls added right before high school and is a better team than Coppermine 2027. Coppermine's pre-high school teams are pretty much all better than SW but they really need this 2028 team to do well with recruiting in hopes that their younger team players won't jump ship.
I do think the top 6-7 girls on Coppermine will obviously be fine recruiting wise and get a ton of exposure, but if my kid was one of the ones that plays 5 minutes a game it might be time to look elsewhere for more playing time and better history of recruiting- this is how SW gets girls for high school.
