Al and Gus are amazing coaches so why do you need a license to tell you that? If this was a concern, then you should have asked them before joining the team. Please do recall that Arlington had the MD raper and Bethesda just had a coach get arrested for an authorized hand gun.

AC and GL are U12G coaches. I believe GL is currently completing his B License which means he already has his C and D licenses as those are pre-requisites. AC looks like he has a a couple grass roots licenses (9v9 and 11v11) which seems pretty reasonable for a second team coach. And to be honest, my kids have had and seen plenty of coaches (at Valor and beyond) with D,C, and B licenses who are not very good.

And another thing: it’s possible that more kids on the top team signed up earlier because they got offers after one tryout, whereas other kids didn’t get an offer for a while because coaches were less sure about them. Kids who get offers later are obviously going to sign up later, because of the whole supposed “48 hrs to make a decision” window all clubs try to do. I know for a fact that someone on the lowest team in my child’s age group didn’t get an offer until like a week after tryouts ended. Obviously that kid wasn’t a top priority for them, but rather made sense to offer them as other kids declined and they decided to make an additional team (which I don’t think Valor should do, it’s a money grab and some parents don’t know that). This isn’t rocket science!

Yet that's what happens. Older than U9 younger than U13. Tryouts in may. Players show up for August practices and it's obvious players were not designated properly. ZERO changes, zero opportunity for the teams to even practice together even though they are on the same field at the same time. Even pay to play opportunities are limited to the top team chosen players.

You can verify a UEFA license by asking the coach to show you the certificate, for one thing. I would not assume my prospective employer was going to verify my degrees, but if necessary I could produce the diplomas.
Have you asked your coach about his (or her) licenses?

Whenever someone says they have a UEFA license (but nothing from USSF) then the red flag should go up. How do you ever verify a UEFA license in the US? You don't!
