Yup. If it isn’t bad enough that Trump outed the congressman on national TV as having a terminal illness, Trump also admitted he got his doctors involved because he needed the congressman’s vote.

There is so much wrong with this that I really can't begin to unpack it.

Where is Anne Applebaum when you need her. This is some next level dictator $hit.

He confuses You Tuber Nick Shirley’s “exposes” of Somali child daycare centers with nursing homes.

Alrighty...our wartime commander in chief is now holding a board meeting of the Trump-Kennedy Center. Which he begins by talking about the war. I give up.

Here is AI’s summary of the symptoms of FTD. The behavioral changes like severe lack of inhibition are particularly noticeable and dangerous for our national security.

Are there any grownups left in the room? I can’t think of one. Even Rubio has zero appetite to act in his adopted nation’s interest.

Key Effects of FTD on Behavior and Function
Behavioral Changes: Often the first sign (behavioral variant FTD or bvFTD), this includes severe lack of inhibition, socially inappropriate behavior, impulsivity, loss of empathy, apathy, and repetitive or compulsive behaviors.
Language and Communication Problems: Known as primary progressive aphasia (PPA), this includes difficulty finding words, reduced speech, and inability to understand language.
Physical and Cognitive Decline: Patients may develop movement disorders (similar to ALS or Parkinson's), difficulty planning and organizing, and eventually severe cognitive decline, requiring 24-hour care.
"Masking" by Stress: Early, subtle symptoms like personality shifts or difficulty with planning are frequently mistaken for stress or normal aging, leading to delayed diagnosis.

No, "we" all have TDS. It's only the Fox News viewers that he expects to believe his lies.

If the Trump regime was a TV series, it would have jumped the shark ages ago.

This is revolting. Not sure how much longer this can continue.

Between this and the "video games" they're posting it IS SICK. Of course the war-monger GOP Congress will suck their thumbs.

But, why aren't veterans leaving en masse?! Trump and Vance just tried to cut veteran benefits a few weeks ago, and TACOed after a great uproar.

Such utter depravity.

The WH videos of the war were discussed on PBS News Hour:

Geoff Bennett:

And, David, one unusual feature of this conflict has been the White House's messaging online. They have been posting these meme-style videos, these pop culture montages celebrating the U.S. strikes. There are some of them are playing out right now on the screen.

What's your assessment of this? I mean, does this reflect modern political communication or is something here more troubling about how this war is being framed to the public by the White House?

David Brooks:

You know, the White House has pastors come in. They have prayer breakfasts they go to. They talk a lot about Christianity and upholding Christian values.

At the core of Christianity is a belief in the dignity of each person, that each human being is made in the image of God. And that's true of all humans, not just the ones you happen to like. And what's happening here, in Lebanon and in Iran is death, is human death. And I don't care who's dying, whether it's good guys or bad guys, innocents or supposed guilties. It's death.

And the people who fought World War II, who led our conflict in World War II, whether it was Franklin Roosevelt down to George Marshall to Omar Bradley, they understood the seriousness of this, that killing human beings is not a video game. It's not pixels on a screen.

And whatever you think of the war -- and I'm probably a little more hopeful than most -- the way this is being described is almost barbaric. There's a great tradition of just war theory. Sometimes, wars are just, but they're never good. They're never anything but horrific. And to treat them otherwise is to insult the American people and to really be unnerving.

It should be unnerving to everybody to see this level of triviality
