She did threaten her with a (butter) knife during one of her tantrums last season. However, as bad as that was, it has nothing to do with Monique attacking her this season. The two incidents are completely unrelated. I could see if Ashley gave a statement on Monique’s behalf, attesting to her character, parenting skills, etc. But the butter knife incident should be left out of this.
Side note - as bad as what Monique did was, I have to roll my eyes at how dramatic Candiace keeps making it. She makes it sound like she went through something life-altering. Give me a break. Monique did attack her, but it was pretty much just pulling her hair. Painful, I’m sure, but it’s not like she was “injured.”![]()
It is related, it’s a character statement about Candiace and supports Candiace’s own violent history. Didn’t Monique file charges based on Candiace throwing the glass in Monique’s face?
I hope at the reunion they address Gizelle shoving Monique in the beginning which set her off to then grab Candiace.
I don’t like Candice, but do you really have to lie to get your point across. Monique started that fight. You don’t flip another woman’s hair/wig and then violently pull their face down on the table by the hair. A glass was not thrown at Monique. And Ms Samuelson am tired of your paid bloggers appearing all over SM to rewrite the narrative.
You were saying about Candiace being innocent? It appears she DID throw a wine glass at Monique. And Candiace did participate in starting the fight with her fowl mouth.

I read that she is 1.5 million in debt. I guess with all of those degrees comes a lot of student loan debt. Quite frankly, I think most of them are in it for the money. All with the exception of Monique.
1.5 million? She needs to tone down her bragging bc that was clearly not a wise decision to get all those degrees.
I saw that reference too and am not really sure how that is possible. Was she taking out living expenses of 100k per year in school? How could it be that high?
If you opened the article it just said she lives in a house that might be worth $1.5M. There was no meat to it at all, they just assumed she has a big mortgage (which: maybe?) and created a clickbait title out of it.
That said, does anyone believe there are people on this show *not* for the money? Either it's their full-time job or it's the way they signal boost the businesses that bring in their real money, but it all comes back to money.
Not sure why you have such a nasty attitude. The article does not reference the debt related to her house, it implies the debt is from her degrees.
“Although she [Wendy] has more than one gig, Osefo and her husband owe well over seven figures since not all of her jobs are as high-paying as one would think. The reason for the debt, though, may not be as irresponsible as some fans may assume. Osefo, whose net worth is $1.5 million, has student loans to pay, which isn’t too surprising given her extensive education.”

I can believe it. They are both professionals.
No amount of degrees are worth $1.5 in student loan debt. How incredibly irresponsible.
It's also likely not true. It's reported by an estranged family member who ranted that her family is from the wrong side of the tracks, and even the article mentions they have an estimated NW north of $1M. I don't doubt they have huge SLs, but probably more in the $500k range.
Slightly off topic but I haven’t watched this season. Was Wendy an American citizen when she was going to school?(the article says descended from Nigerian royalty and I haven’t watched). If not her SL debt is probably much higher than you would think.

Katie went to private school in DC, went to college and was a successful model AND she NEVER committed the social faux pas of throwing it in everyone’s face every second. That’s reeks of insecurity and academic shaming. Wendy is not as successful as she thinks she is as she just got on the same show as two women that don’t have degrees (Karen/Monique)
You should meet Katie's mother, the absolute WORST!
Ummm, the previous poster mentioned Katie Rost, not Katie's mother. Katie's mother was not on the show so your comment is irrelevant.![]()

DP. Katie is an extreme mental health consumer and did not belong on the show.
While that may be true, Potomac could stand to have someone who has the background of Katie. Wendy does not do this for me. Even Ashley who grew up poor is more appealing and has social grace that Wendy seems to be lacking.
