Because despite the fact that Johnson is more conservative in general than McCarthy, McCarthy was childish about refusing to "work with the Democrats" and used it for political points. Johnson may be more extreme, but he is more of an old-school legislator in that he will go in and actually negotiate in good faith and try to keep his end of the bargain. But McCarthy would make concessions and then deny or try to weasel out of his side of agreements while trying to hold Democrats to theirs.
So, while politically more conservative, Johnson has more integrity and is actually a better person for the Democrats to negotiate with.
Yep, Johnson got all the spending bills done and kept the government open. He stood up to the extremist bullying, which is why MTG is throwing a temper tantrum. Surprisingly, it all felt relatively stable throughout. Everything can’t be hyper partisan.
She knows he won’t be removed but just wants to put Republicans and Democrats on the record. It’s the height of politics and immaturity. She’s a terrible person and both parties see it.
What is she gaining for her district? Seems like they could make a better choice.
MTG's district is deep red. They probably eat this stuff up with a spoon.

I’d like every Republican who thinks that their party is normal and mainstream and totally not planning on blowing up the country (figuratively and literally) if they get back in power to actually listen to the words of this cracked man.
*this cracked man who tells his son when he masturbates with porn. I don’t care what you call that, I call that grooming one’s own child and problematic if not strictly illegal.
In hindsight, the GOP was on its way to becoming radical since Clinton was elected. We just didn't really grasp that. 30 years of increasingly unhinged and radical rhetoric has gotten us to where we are today.
