Subject: Indictment Monday?
Trump refuses to testify in his own behalf, so the defense has rested. The jury is excused until Tuesday next week and the attorneys and judge will hash out legal issues between now and then.

If the jury has been paying attention there will be no need for an appeal. Bragg and company have not identified a crime. In fact the one crimes we have heard about are those committed by Cohen. Including embezzlement

Cohen is not on trial for embezzlement. Is he,? The very fact that he admitted to embezzling from Trump would prove not me that he is not lying in his testimony in this case. And, as I am just one of the anonymous hoi polloi like the jurors, it's safe to bet that some of them feel the same!

I seem to recall reading an article indicating that the embezzlement (or grand theft?) statute of limitations expired, which is why Cohen admitted his actions on the stand. While Bragg could have found a way to resurrect those charges, he wouldn't have Cohen as a witness.

It’s also very weird how they missed that merchan’s ire today was directed at the defense witness, Costello.

Source? I thought the judge was simply asking defense counsel what he wanted him to do, namely, to discount Cohen's testimony and grant a directed verdict.
