Yes!!!!
Duh, that's been the plan since June.
Yes, but he had to reiterate that because the question keeps coming up.
Because NO ONE believes him based on his track record.
I believe him. His track record has been fine. Excellent given this extreme emergency situation.
NP here. Last school year, the date for young kids to start hybrid went from Oct to Nov to Dec to Jan & finally happened in March. So, yes, it’s hard to believe what he says about school opening.

I'm assuming the PP is sarcastic in response to all those saying this is no big deal. We still don't ever see the numbers on a regular basis for kids with long covid, myocarditis or other longer lasting implications. Covid itself may only hit my child like a common cold, but if he is fatigued or has memory issues for months that is a big deal. That's the stat I want to see before I'm reassured. We are accepting the risk of in-person school but doesn't mean I'm not very nervous.
Youre never getting that stat, sorry to tell you

We know it is certainly more dangerous for adults, and it seems unduly confident, given this other evidence, not to assume it is also more dangerous for kids, but I'd understand why parents want to believe everything is going to be fine.
Don't look for tweets to confirm your own anxiety. I'm not saying "everything is going to be fine," but it is important to remember that Twitter posts are designed to get lots and lots of clicks. Take a deep breath and evaluate your own situation.
Here are some numbers available at the VDH for children 0-9 years old:
25,572 total cases
296 kids hospitalized
2 deaths
I m ok with the 2 deaths. Unless on of them is my kid.
You are shameful.

Lots of parents will be taking a cautious, wait and see approach—wait and see what side effects happen to other people’s kids before they let their own kids get vaccinated. The timetable remains midwinter. Sorry.
Eh, I’m going to take seeing what happens when my kids get vaccinated over: for funsies let’s see what happens when my kid gets Covid.
you do you.
"You doing you" is taking down a lot of other people right now. And that's not caution: that's selfishness pushed to the point of recklessness.
Well, seeing how the vaccination isn’t even available now for < 12 I call, FALSE.
Nobody is talking about now.
