Yes!!!!

Duh, that's been the plan since June.

Yes, but he had to reiterate that because the question keeps coming up.

Because NO ONE believes him based on his track record.

I believe him. His track record has been fine. Excellent given this extreme emergency situation.

NP here. Last school year, the date for young kids to start hybrid went from Oct to Nov to Dec to Jan & finally happened in March. So, yes, it’s hard to believe what he says about school opening.

You do realize that it was an evolving situation that required an evolving plan?

Anyway, there is a LAW so our kids will be 5 days in person unless Northam & the General Assembly change that.

Go find something else ridiculous to obsess over.

Do people even read this thread they are posting in or do they just let their shrillest emotion take over when they open up DCUM.

There

I'm assuming the PP is sarcastic in response to all those saying this is no big deal. We still don't ever see the numbers on a regular basis for kids with long covid, myocarditis or other longer lasting implications. Covid itself may only hit my child like a common cold, but if he is fatigued or has memory issues for months that is a big deal. That's the stat I want to see before I'm reassured. We are accepting the risk of in-person school but doesn't mean I'm not very nervous.

Youre never getting that stat, sorry to tell you

I'm PP and I know that, but it is the worry that I have, more so than the extremely rare risk of my unvaxxed child dying.

Don't look for tweets to confirm your own anxiety. I'm not saying "everything is going to be fine," but it is important to remember that Twitter posts are designed to get lots and lots of clicks. Take a deep breath and evaluate your own situation.

Here are some numbers available at the VDH for children 0-9 years old:

25,572 total cases
296 kids hospitalized
2 deaths

I m ok with the 2 deaths. Unless on of them is my kid.

You are shameful.

Mask work,if we were in a school district where mask were not mandated or geographic area, then yes I'd be more concerned. South Carolina for example had a small town only 3 elementary schools 1 middle and high school m, and since starting back a week ago mask optional, 375 kids on quarantine and 110 Covid positive.I'm nervous about it in general, but know risk can be low with proper protocols in place. My kiddo went to camp all summer no cases in his camp.I do think temps should stay in place and daily screening until delta slows down. It hasn't even hut us the hardest yet in our area. People traveled to these places where it is out of control.

Eh, I’m going to take seeing what happens when my kids get vaccinated over: for funsies let’s see what happens when my kid gets Covid.

you do you.

"You doing you" is taking down a lot of other people right now. And that's not caution: that's selfishness pushed to the point of recklessness.

Well, seeing how the vaccination isn’t even available now for < 12 I call, FALSE.

Nobody is talking about now.

Uh, wrong.
