You do realize that you are free to keep putting a little cloth mask over your kid’s face all day; you can even make him wear a tinfoil hat and a garlic necklace if you want.

But how else can we satisfy our urge to be little totalitarian control freaks and punish those Trump voters who don’t want to force their kids to walk around with stupid clothe masks over the faces? How else can we force them to accept the dictates from leftish establishment politicians? Will no one think of us petty little leftists?

It’s frustrating that the more recent active post on this was deleted, but curious to hear more about any additional guidance other Arlington diocese schools are issuing? Ours just sent out a note saying they would be following the governors executive order/diocesan direction lifting the mask mandate and would respect each family’s decision moving forward, but no requirement for parents to sign any paperwork regarding their intentions or virtual option offered like others have mentioned.


Same with ours but they reminded parents they ALSO have to follow the FCHD guidance about the longer quarantine requirements for unvaccinated close contacts who aren’t wearing masks. Apparently we have a significant number of unvaccinated students.

Look for the kids breathing fresh air unobstructed, with smiles on their unmasked faces that you’ll see beaming from across the room. I’m the parent of those kids.

Now put in your mask and your tinfoil hat and grumble about it.


I hope you will as supportive of your school and teachers if your school has to go remote because of staffing issues.

Masks optional. Great decision!

Parents get to decide what is right for their child. Anyone who wants to wear a mask can do so; anyone who wants to receive a vaccine and as many boosters as they want can do so. It’s time to get back to normal.
