Weird, our school doesn't bother with Level III announcements until after the new school year starts and they have SOLs and iReadys in hand.

They have made it very clear that they are not going to look at testing. It is on the web site that you can test but some AARTs have already told people that the appeals committee will not be looking at testing. The Equity report from last year recommended getting rid of the WiSC.

+1 I am surprised by just the hostile tone towards FCPS on this post. I understand being anxious and wanting to know now. But delays happen and sometimes you can't give out live updates.

GBRS - which some parents got and others were told no. Another inconsistency.

2 Consistently Observed and 2 Frequently Observed on the GBRS. CO is the highest ranking, then FO. You don't want any occasionally observed. I think that is the third one.

That gives your child 14 out of 16 possible points, so definitely in the range for qualifiying.

No one knows. There is no consistency to the process. Relying on the GBRS, a subjective and invalided measure measure over valid tests with established norms introduces error into the process that you can’t control. MNy extremely gifted children were not accepted and many students that shouldn’t have been were. No one knows or is able to predict which is where part of the anxiety comes from.

And, to the PP, yes we do have other deadlines. Many apply to private schools if their gifted child is not accepted
