Take it back. But no spot for you when it’s over. Good luck.

Take what back?

I will repeat - Burgundy will be online ALL year. Prepare for it now. The teachers are not going to suddenly decide they are okay with in person school 3 or 4 weeks into the school year (October) half day or not.

It's not impossible that we might have a vaccine in late January or February.

Then we spend March through June getting vaccinated. And that’s the end of the school year.

Don’t be fooled. A vaccine never saved a life. Only a VACCINATION did.

I understand that, but I have hope that the Biden administration will plan and implement an effective and quick vaccination strategy.

Yes. March through June will be our quick vaccination process. And there goes the whole school year. And what about the anti-vaccers? Will Burgundy teachers go back to work then?

Are there anti-vaxers at Burgundy? I thought you had to vaccinate to enroll.

Yes. There are anti-vaxers.

Flu shots are required as part of the new social contract.

Irrelevant to the teachers

We don't know that. It could have been liability fears. This is part of the reason I am so angry - the school hasn't given us any firm information on what drove this decision and what would be needed for it to switch back to in person. I'm not angry at the teachers at this point, but I am furious at the administration about the lack of information and a coherent plan.

I am telling you this is fact. The teachers all banded together and refused to come to work.

How do you have that information?

Cuz I am a teacher

Please remember that getting a vaccine will not cure all. After we get the vaccine THEN we all need to get vaccinated.

We realize this. That is why we are pushing the administration and board to be transparent with us about what is really going on.

I Am on the same side as you. I am pointing this out to all those who are swayed by the October promise.

We as in you or we as in elderly, healthcare workers and vips? Don't bet the farm.

Healthcare workers, but perhaps also teachers. I've read that the ranking for the elderly would depend on whether vaccine effectiveness varies by age.
