It sounds un-PC but IMO parents make so many excuses for bad teaching etc in the name of their liberal progerssive values. No one wants to stand up and say - this sucks, and I demand better for fear of being seen as not understanding of equity issues or whatever.
We have liked our time there, but I will be glad to get away from the liberal do-gooder types that ABOUND on the PTA etc.
I agree with this. It especially upsets me when parents ask questions on the listserv and are attacked for not taking into account students who come from lower income families. It is very off putting. This has happened repeatedly.

It's not a failing school. Why are you so mean?

I have the same impressions and since the community aspect of Einstein is missing this year the school seems worse
I don't think it seems worse. I think the community has been responding admirably during the pandemic, with the gift cards for groceries and now the food donation drive. The PTSA online meetings with administrators have been really helpful and well-attended (compared to in-person anyway).
