The two biggest facebook spamming and braggart families have young teen kids who are barely top 100 for their age in their state. But the way they brag you'd think they're Olympians heading to Stanford.
When I was looking up their names, I randomly came across a family that barely talks about their daughter (and never brags) and she's a top 3 to 5 swimming in the state in her age range.
Wow, awesome story. Tell us more.
Go ahead and perpetually brag on social media how wonderful your family is, how amazing your kids are at travel sports literally every weekend for years, what "commitment" it takes (pay money, book hotel, and burn tanks of gas in your Suburban x repeat), and spew delusions about elite universities who are giving them "looks". At some point curious parents are going to google your kid's name to see if they're really that great.
And when the children drop out of sports in college, the parents still post pictures of themselves on FB at school sporting events.
Tell us more about this Facebook situation.

Anonymous wrote:So many of the people on this post are psycho. Who cares if someone brags about their kid swimming at Gettysburg or playing baseball at Delaware State. Good for them!! It takes a lot of discipline to want to play a sport in college. Just congratulate and move on. It’s like you feel the need to have to say “my kid could do that too”. But they aren’t so just give it a rest. Grow up. You don’t need to fawn over them but you don’t need to google their national ranking either. Let it go.
