And we have the POS POTUS pushing for civil war. WTF?

I think this event (on MLK Day of all days) will backfire on the pro-gun groups and will result in MORE support for gun control. Horrible optics.

Yeah? What components, exactly?

The Lower? The FCG? The Upper? The buffer tube? The BCG?

Which components, exactly? Do tell!

What I find telling about the ignorance of the gun-grabbers is that they consider a bayonet mount as one of the "evil features" that defines a so-called assault weapon. An M1 carbine without a bayonet lug would be legal under the terms of their proposed assault weapon law. The same gun with a bayonet lug would be considered an assault weapon, and would be illegal.

What I'm wondering is this: What is it about a bayonet lug that makes a gun with that feature so dangerous? How many people in the entire USA have been bayonetted to death in the past 150 years? I would bet that the answer is NONE. But that doesn't stop the gun-grabbers. They'll use any excuse they can to make life difficult for law-abiding gun owners and to grab as many guns as they can.

Why do you feel the need to "grab as many guns as you can"?

How many guns do you own?
How many guns do/did your parents own?
How many guns do/did your grandparents own?

Not PP.

- None of your business
- Zero because they were born and raised in communist China
- Grandparents on my mom's side had rifles, that were confiscated by the communists after they took power.

The danger of the leftist ideology is that they come pretending to be your best friend.

You are too embarrassed to anonymously share how many guns you own? Why is that?

DP. There’s no way for anyone to win this question, and people can choose to share or not share. I have no idea what you could even do with that info., but surely it would be negative. Likely fodder for calling the PP a gun nut if they own multiple guns, right? Or to say, “no one is taking your one gun, chill out nutter.”

I was asking about #s from generation to generation because there has been a shift in gun culture. It went from hunting, sport shooting, and collecting to becoming a hyper militarized and masculinized/sexualized status symbol.

We go from this just a few decades ago:

Because they are elitists who are afraid of the deplorable (veterans, blue collar, minorities) being armed.

That or this whole country is saturated with guns and they care about their children and want to limit their exposure to these tools of destruction.

Nope, we are just asking to go back to the gun laws of 2004. I was there and people still had guns.

So these guys have a lot in common with the Governor. They both make fun of black people. Although unlike the Governor, these three idiots have never actually taken a black life.

Why hold a pro-gun rally *on* MLK Day?

Instead of reflecting on his great work and words we will be worried about more gun violence. It’s disrespectful at a minimum. It’s blatant hate & racism at worst.

Disgusting.

The Virginia General Assembly set January 20th as "Lobby Day", to enable their constituents to come to the capitol and lobby for their cause. It is the General Assembly who is to blame for setting the date, not the citizenry. The pro-gun lobbyists and rally-goers are holding their event on the day set by the general assembly, not for any other reason.

So it's not racism....although the left would have us believe that anything that republicans and gun owners do is because they're racists.

The VA General Assembly that *was* controlled by.....Republicans?

They know what day it is and who will show up.

Disgusting.
