Maybe looking at some boutique hotels in cities with older buildings might help? Some older buildings might have smaller rooms?

I’m curious to know the room size of that top pic. This is exactly what we are doing with our renovation.

I am kicking myself for spending free time on anything other than this thread. Why didn’t I click before??

OP I love the look of those trendy blue kitchen cabinets but our kitchen is small ish (maybe 10x13) and we have uppers up to the ceiling. Is it possible to do bright blue without it being overwhelming or white uppers and blue lowers without looking disjointed?

EyeCandy here. What is your style? I don’t think the bump out should drive your design decisions for a room...your style should! Do you like modern, rustic, ornate, or minimalist...


Thanks for the response. Asking specifically about the bump out because it affects furniture placement. (It's a small bedroom.) My style is contemporary with some traditional thrown in. I.e. mcm furniture w Persian rugs and other textures.



I'm the pp again, coming back to simplify my request. I'm looking for a small master bedroom that offers good storage -- at least 2 good sized dressers, plus night stands. My issue is that our bedroom just feels cluttered.
