Got it! Small, good storage, possible architectural feature affecting furniture placement. Let's see what we can find...
This is from a brownstone...maybe built-ins or something that mimics them could help?

Full-sized chests as nightstands might give you the storage you need.

This is a large room, but I love the layering of the storage by the bed. There's a bookcase and then a nightstand.

A bit rustic, but using the walls?

Maybe looking at some boutique hotels in cities with older buildings might help? Some older buildings might have smaller rooms?

I live in a rowhouse in which the (not very big) bedroom has a bump-out on one wall due to a chimney in the room below. I found this example, but I'd appreciate any other inspirational photos you could find for bedrooms with weird bump outs.

Thank you!
EyeCandy here. What is your style? I don’t think the bump out should drive your design decisions for a room...your style should! Do you like modern, rustic, ornate, or minimalist...
Thanks for the response. Asking specifically about the bump out because it affects furniture placement. (It's a small bedroom.) My style is contemporary with some traditional thrown in. I.e. mcm furniture w Persian rugs and other textures.

I am so sorry that I misread your post!
