Criminal set to rob more banks or physically assault anyone.
One year max for LL? The recommended sentence for Felicity Huffman is 4-10 months. No way is LL getting 12 months.
From what I read LL could get more time because she paid for both daughters, 2 counts and more money total.
She could also get more time because they didn't take the first plea deal offered; hence the additional charges.

ITA.
I actually think she can come out ahead. I think she can tap into all of the fears and insecurities all parents have for their kids.
It could play very well on the day time circuit.
I bet we see her take a permanent seat on the view or something similar in the next year and half.

Now we know how they got in but it would be fun to know how they stayed in. Think they're going to spill?
I think colleges let you stay in for awhile even if you're doing poorly when the checks keep coming in. Also "Cs get degrees" and all that. I think with a non-challenging courseload you could skate by doing the bare minimum or retaking classes you fail for a couple of years...
She is friends with the Dean. She was on his yacht when the scandal broke.

She wouldn't have had 20 years if she'd agree to actually owning up to what she did. The emails and recorded calls are clear. As is her daughter's admission to a university she couldn't get in on her own and the money Loughlin wired to the company that got her there.
Notice Huffman isn't facing 20 years, because she wasn't charged with money laundering.
