Ahhhhhh, you noticed that as well.

Rumor is that the new owner wants better. He expects higher standards and a better record. THat may change many decisions for next year.

Depends on the team. Generally yes, it has made the problem worse and co tributes to the lack of competitiveness of Spirit teams by leaving a team that they may add value to and by being added to a team they don the add value to.

Could it be that the position needed to be filled is not the primary position of the best player in their own age group? I.e, defensive vice offensive? Did i read this wrong? The previous 2 replies seem to talk out of an age group.

I'm not sure I understand your question. She is a very good 07. I haven't seen her look amazing, but maybe if she were playing against 07s she would. Against 04s and 05s she can't keep up. It's not her fault. It's a combination of size and speed. So I agree with the poster who suggested 06 might be a good fit. I don't know if she needs a "strong" 06 team or just an acceptable one. You don't have to be on the very best team in team in twin to develop.

I wasn't referring to the 07 in my question. I was talking about all of the other play ups. The original statement says that the playups are not even the best in their own age group.

What are your credentials to make judgments on the other playups? Are you a WSVA coach?

You need to take a break and rest. I asked a question about all of these play ups that received a response about an 07 to which I followed up that I wasn't interested and not asking about the 07s. I was asking about positions vs best. It was a clarifying question since parent can get pretty defensive about their play ups especially when the message is pretty accurate and on point.

Most parents concede it’s driven by parental demands and also roster issues. Play ups don’t fill a need on the older team as a rule. Parents of play ups are as you noticed, quite defensive about it. So they probably have a different take on it.

Not a good look for you as a person. Especially one with no credentials to make any judgments about said players.

Everyone on this forum is a parent and they all have opinions. I’m not sure how anything being “revealed” here’s is earth shattering. He has watched the games. Anyone can see if a player is keeping up or not amd if the player is an asset or a liability. Spirit is known for big rosters, play ups and losing. Not a stellar combination.

Just as simple practical matter I just don’t see how one person could be so intimately knowledgeable of the various rosters to not only know who the play ups even are and yet still have an opinion or assessment of their abilities relative to their own at age group.

I’m calling BS

Of course, all women here. It makes even people on your side not want to be.

It’s not sexist, you really need a chill pill. Wish you had the background but you obviously don’t.

So post to the masses. I did ask nicely. I have no clue who you are talking about, and I don't actually care. I love Spirit, and I want people to love it too. So I don't want us to sound like a bunch of paranoid, pseudopyschic nutjobs. It hurts us all.

LOL because the remainder of the ridiculousness in this thread is helpful...

Some of it is. To have Spirit parents talk about how they stay for the coaching and to have them be optimistic that Spirit will change direction is meaningful. And if it is all ridiculous, then we should all abandon the thread.

I didn't choose Spirit over an anonymous online board. I won't leave it over one either.
