Cutting SALT was genius. They killed the Democrats in blue states, and put all those state legislatures and local governments in play for the GOP. You’re not going to vote the President out. You’re not getting the Senate. We’re taking back the House. And most importantly after the President, we own the courts.
You can have your Democrat policies, and you’ll miss out on a tax refund. Or you can demand that your state income tax and local property tax stays under $10k. Up to you.
Yeah, because 2018 worked so well for you.![]()
And that was before majority of people realized how bad they got screwed by tax scam. Let's hope they won't forget before 2020

I've seen some Rs express frustration that people are just too stupid to see how the tax changes helped us, and that if only we were a little smarter - and/or the biased media (ok) did more to promote how GREAT the tax changes were - we'd all be thanking Republicans instead of cursing them.
Well, as politicians their jobs are a mix of policy and marketing. And whatever you want to say about the policy side of this, they did a real craptastic job at marketing these tax changes.

we are paying an unexpected $8k tax bill
^ we are not Trump voters and so I guess we are not among those who are regretting our votes. but my husband is a sometimes-republican voter who says he is going for all ds going forward.
Ummm, I’m a Republican and pissed at this Tax Bill as much as anyone else.
But do you understand the other increases in taxes you would face if it was All Democrats controlling everything? How about the new top tier income tax rate proposals coming from them? Also if we get a universal healthcare system, don’t you think your taxes will go way up to pay for it to subsidize the people who will be getting it for free without working?

All that glee from a cult member of a party that has won the popular vote just once(by one state) since 1988. American people are not with the fraud trickle down party run by conman trump. Period. Conman has now alienated everyone but old white men who are increasingly finding their home below the ground. Educated whites, minorities of all color and women in general are not gonna vote for the GOP. You can't keep winning with slavery era EC without winning the popular vote because math can't be beaten all the time.
I’m a Republican in Virginia who got screwed by the tax law. Our Deductions were around 90k including prop tax and VA income tax, etc...Our tax bill was about 25k more. I actually will vote for any Democrat to get the SALT deduction back.
