Very dumb rumor in my opinion. As plan for next year, maybe attend their next town hall or would like to see the opinion of their families. Seems like many posters are not associated with clubs in question.
SYC Parents, how has it been in past weeks under the new leadership? How has the TD done with the teams he has taken over? Has their been more coaching and less social media or just more coaching then before?

Anonymous wrote:If your still at LMVSC or SYC after U12 then your just training with no actual goals of doing anything else. You need to start looking at DA (boys) or ECNL for girls after that age.

LMVSC was there doing winter training. Not impressed. Kids were bored.
True, but to be fair, most of the LMVSC kids get bored when directed to do anything besides run around with the ball at their feet or shoot at the goal.
I think that describes pretty much any decent player under the age of 18. I would worry about a kid who loves running or agility drills or shape walk- throughs.

Anonymous wrote:Correct and many of them have gone back. No top ecnl clubs have left for the DA since after the initial wave when vda started.
Anonymous wrote:Kind of true. Haven’t noticed any clubs leaving ECNL for DA but I have seen it go the other way... with BIG clubs.

All the SYC changes are meant to bring the best coaches from all surounding clubs and set the table for DA. If they get DA then it would be a destination for CCL and ECNL players that surround SYC. It’s not about the current teams and or players, it’s about the access of fields, players and location that interests US Soccer. If you take the top players from bryc, ALEXANDRIA, LMVSC,, SYA, etc. that live in springfield, Lorton, Burke, etc. but travel elsewhere to play, you get a very nice and talented player pool.
This is the funniest thing I’ve read in a while. A club with no league and brand new coaches being brought in from a decent club in the area. They’re going to get a DA in an already saturated market? This is rich.
This poster should hop into the WSVA girl’s thread. They can compete for most delusional.
There will be no new NOVA DA’s on the boys side. Apparently existing DA’s have been rejected on expanding to the older age groups.
Maybe SYC can get in on the girls side? They seem to let anyone in.
