Why don't they spend that money first before asking for more? Is Trump just a raving lunatic?

Really PP? Everyone knows the answer is YES, trump is a raving lunatic.

Would not surprise me to have utterly stupid Trumpsuckers think that it’s the employees’ fault when the company has run out of money.

Given Feds have engaged in sabotage prior, stands to reason it will continue

Back that up with facts, please. Feds have “sabotaged” food stamps?

Regardless of your stupid, uninformed opinions of federal government workers, THERE IS NO BUDGET. EMPLOYEES CAN’T DISTRIBUTE BENEFITS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FOR.

May you not receive your IRS refund until December.

Feds have said they take documents right off the President ‘s desk. They @lso used the IRS as weapon. Why trust them?

And aren't you grateful? Kelly wants you to be grateful.

Democrats are making proposals and the Republicans are starting to feel the heat for being obstructionist.

The House, with its new Democratic majority, passed two bills on Thursday night to reopen the government — one major spending bill to fund most shuttered departments and agencies through Sept. 30 and a stop-gap measure to restart the Department of Homeland Security for a few weeks — without funding for a border wall.

The measures are likely to go nowhere for now, but they will raise pressure on Republicans to come to the negotiating table. Senators Cory Gardner of Colorado and Susan Collins of Maine, two of the most endangered Republicans up for re-election in 2020, said they want a vote.

Five House Republicans crossed over and voted for these bills.

Susan Collins can KMA. She’ll never get re elected after voting for Kavanaugh & all the other crap she’s pulled.

Who is her opponent?

TSA and air traffic controllers are starting to stage sick outs. I think we will come to a tipping point with the first missed paycheck next weekend -- I am typically not an optimist but think that it will be resolved in the coming week. At least I hope.

Shut it down until April 1.

No "dems" are in charge of any executive agencies, Trumpers and Russians. The Trump appointees (Purdue), and Trump, are the ones who didn't understand the consequences of even a partial shutdown.

Executive branch = Republicans, all agency heads are Republican appointments

judicial = Republican appointees

Congress =
Senate: Republicans;
House: Democrats in control as of Jan 3rd. Previously Republicans majority

Does that clear things up about who is responsible for this incredible mess we are now in, only two years into this chaotic amateur hour of a GOP led United States.

What Dem is in charge of SNAP? That’s right, the answer is no Dem since it’s Republicans in charge of every agency. Specifically, for SNAP it’s Sonny Perdue, the Secretary of Agriculture, former Governor of Georgia. You’re uninformed if you think that some low-level Ag employees will be able to control the pace at which SNAP benefits are processed or paid.

I have no particular inside knowledge by any means, but -- from the outside -- I have long thought there would be an optical tipping point the GOP might seize upon to turn against Trump and save face. I wonder if this is it, and I wonder if that is why we are hearing rumors that the Mueller fallout will be coming very soon. Everything could come to a head at once, if we were looking at the next payroll being missed.

Seriously, eff you all sideways who voted for this sh!tshow.

How do you not see through this? Who are the officials and why not give theirs names

Mark Meadows, although not a Trump official, he did almost become Chief of Staff. He is quoted, named and shamed in this article as to not knowing that money for food stamps will run out if the Department of Agriculture is shut down and not properly funded. The quoted officials are smarter than Mark Meadows (not hard) and don’t want to give their names. How do you not see why?

I can survive without a Tax refund, many Trump supporters cannot and that brings a smile to my face.
