Geez.

Yes, it was exciting because QO never makes this list but the achievement is really short lived. QO scored pretty badly on the MD report card and only received a 66% while NW scored one point higher at 67%. Since all the schools are scored you can't count on inching up because BCC, Whitman and others didn't report scores so the bad score plus more competition will push you way farther back in the rankings.
If you want to boost QO, you need tp change your talking point as your ranking has just tanked. Start parroting how rankings don't matter.
That's cute. QO does poorly a lot because minority and poor students tend to do terrible on standardized tests because they are largely ESOL students. The diversity in QO isn't the neighborhoods(Kentlands and Lakelands and Darnestown are all around 80% white). Part of the district feeds from the other part of Gaithersburg and that tends to be the diversity. Most kids from educated families are just as good students as Whitman or churchill kids.
Let's state the fact: QO is mediocre. It is far below Whitman, Wootton and Churchill. And WJ and BCC.
All of these schools, except Wooton, aren't as good as Baltimore City POLY though, so...
LOL. That school is just like NW- scored high for its reputation, but very violent with fights and robberies. Stats don't lie, but stats sure aren't everything. Doubt a single person on this thread would send their DC to Baltimore Poly.

I can't speak for my neighbors, but I commute to McLean. It takes 30-35 min in the morning and 45-50 min in the evening. DH commutes to Columbia and it's 30 min each way. A commute into DC would be easy on Metro or MARC.

We're aware that's your stance. Prove it with data that disaggregates by race to demonstrate that each racial group performs worse in QO than in those other schools.
It's not a "stance." It's a fact. Do your own research and do it by your own crazy metric.
