Doug Jones has more than a sporting chance to be reelected. Montgomery, AL just elected its first Black mayor.

The Senate campaign map that is coming into view is looking more and more like a "good news," but not "great news" situation for Democrats. The party needs to net only four seats to get to a 51-49 majority in the Senate and the list of seats that Republicans need to defend is growing — but there are not a lot of easy marks.

First time I have seen Maine as a tossup

I don't see the Ds keeping Alabama or the Rs keeping Colorado

Agree Arizona is a tossup

So the spread is 0 to +2D still not enough to take the senate

Ds would need NC to tie and then most likely have control

Ugh. He's breaks conflict of interest laws as easily as I breathe. The Democrats need to step up their game in Georgia. There's two seats up for grabs and Stacy Abrams just wants to be VP.

Jon Ossoff won't win. Not sure why he's running again.

How big is the Atlanta voting bloc getting?

Because no one else of note is stepping up.

We are in the bad place, so it fits.

Those are some nice poll numbers but I’d like to see the Democrats far out ahead.

Getting rid of Moscow Mitch would be a huge win for the country.

Internal poll shows Kobach trailing Democrat in Kansas Senate race

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/461924-internal-poll-shows-kobach-trailing-democrat-in-kansas-senate-race

Former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) is 10 points behind Democrat Barry Grissom in a head-to-head contest for the state's Senate race, according to internal GOP polling data obtained by The Wall Street Journal.

The survey found that Grissom led Kobach 52 percent to 42 percent, while every other Republican tested in a head-to-head matchup had at least an 8-point lead over the Democrat.

The poll also showed a generic Republican beating a generic Democrat by a 44-36 margin.

Republicans have offered public worries about the possibility that Kobach could win a Republican primary and be the party's nominee in the Senate race. Kobach was the GOP candidate for governor last year and lost to Democrat Laura Kelly.
