They won 3 games and had 2 draws? That means they roughly only lost half their games. It also means they are being challenged. I don't see the issue.

Agree with the poster above. They aren’t the best and aren’t the worst. While the coaching of their C and D teams might be questionable at times, the A team coaching is usually very good. That said, there are some good coaches in those lower ranks too. The politics at Loudoun can be tough, but that’s not as much to worry about if your DC is on the ECNL team and performing. I'm not sure why your post sounds like you have something against Loudoun? Let me tell you what I see: many of those losses are in close matches, where they lose by a single goal. That's nothing. That's a close match. That's not like losing week after week by multiple goals. Even the U17s have a win in there, and the younger teams are doing better. That gives weight to the claim that FCV used to take their best players.
Which I'm not saying Loudoun ECNL is the next best thing to hit NOVA soccer. But posting a win/loss record isn't sufficient, especially when there are a lot of close games and this is their first season in the ECNL.

Ok, let's ignore the placement for a moment. Here are the overall stats for Loudoun ECNL teams that someone posted earlier. These are not confidence inspiring stats.
Club Wins- 6
Losses - 19
Ties - 3
Goals For - 24
Gaols Allowed - 74
By comparison, McLean has 18 wins, VDA 11 wins, BRYC and Richmond United with 14 wins each.

Who cares? If you drill down match by match, the games are close. Like a team may be in 7th place, but won 2, tied 1, and lost 2 by close scores. That's actually good developmentally. That means they are capable of winning, but not so underchallenged, they are smashing everyone.
Conference placement isn't as important as overall match play.

They don't have a single team in the top five in any of the age groups. In some age groups, they are at the bottom of the table or close to it.

I went on the ECNL website. Loudoun actually isn't doing so bad. Close matches, they beat NC Fusion (which is a strong, long time ECNL from MC) and no loss by more than 2 goals. They also tied McLean and beat a team from SC.

There are enough negatives for both that I either know of directly or hear that I think either FCV, Loudoun, or maybe, maybe BRYC or Arlington seem better options
Although, I hear nothing but good about Clyde Watson from friends whose kids have him, but you can't go to McLean hoping to just have him the whole time.
